Good Morning CGs!

Wow, was my weekend packed! I barely had a minute to sit down. Friday was occupied with work stuff, picking up the baby's new mattress, and then coming home and cutting the grass. After that, we went and bought a new bed frame / headboard for the new bed (go figure!). I think we did something in the evening, too...I don't even remember.

Saturday my wife had told me she made plans for me to paint my cousin's house. But I wasn't doing that. Rick came over early in the am and we loaded up the vette into his 24 ft enclosed trailer for transport to the exhaust shop. Dropped it off there for the y-pipe work and back to his house where we worked on installing a nice custom slide out tray for his generator. Exhaust shop called and we picked up the car and came back home. Got in a workout and I then only had about an hour to work on the car. My wife said we had dinner plans, so I had to go pick her up at her mom's house. Well, I got there and found out why my wife had attempted to plan out my day....they threw a big surprise party for me for my 30th. It was very nice. Had a big turn out and everyone enjoyed themselves. LOTS of food and drink. Apparently it was supposed to be at our house originally, but I goofed up her plan when I stayed home to work on the car

Sunday was more family time, and a dinner meetup with some friends from work, after that the neighbors came over.

Bottom line is I had a great weekend with lots of friends and family. Car didn't get done, but you have to have realize the priorities in life.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Sounds like a great weekend Matt. My intention was to get alot done to the car, but fell short as well.
I spent saturday cleaning up, and installing the lower intake, as well as resealing all of the fittings that go into it.
Waiting on my injectors (that should be here today) so progress stopped mid day saturday. Then, I remembered the new line lock that I recently purchased, and installed it. I need to toss new front pads on it, wire the switch, and bleed them.
Sunday was the birthday. No party, but a nice day with family, and dinner at a hoity toity high end restaraunt.
Good times. I rarely get to spend quality time with the family unit, as I am on the road alot.
2 days in the office, and then a few days of vacation......

Yep busy weekend.. drover down to the mother-in-laws to pickup my trailer Friday night, got up early Saturday morning as Matt said, spent most of the day with Matt, went to his suprise party. Theresa and I visited my Grandmother in the hospital, drove back down to the MIL's house to bring my trailer and Theresa's car back down. slept a good portion of Sunday morning. did a bunch of random errands. Came back home Sunday night, repaired 2 headlight actuators on the 94' that I am working on. went to Bed....

Woke up this morning, found out my Grandma is probably not going to make it back home to be on hospice... last I heard we may have a few hours or a few days left...

Sounds like a nice surprise, Matt! And mojo to your grandma and family, Rick.

Dull weekend here, for the most part. Had to go buy a dryer on Saturday, played some horrible golf yesterday. We signed up to go to the Black Hills Corvette Classic next month, looks like a nice trip. I decided against auto-x or drag racing, since I've never tried either and don't want to break my car hundreds of miles from home.

Have a good Monday, everyone!

Sorry to hear the news about your grandmother Rick. Glad to hear Pete and Matt had great family time this weekend. Matt, I think your wife has many more surprises in store for you.
I had a nice weekend myself. Had dinner Saturday night with our two sons at a local Italian restaurant. Sunday, got up early and we spent the day autocrossing. I think my wife got the better time this round. I'll wait till the times get posted then I'll know for sure. Till then I'll keep my fingers crossed. Heading to the dump later this morning to dispose of 20 citrus trees. The crew are going to climb some Royal Palms here at the house and do some trimming. We'll kill two birds with one dump run. Guess I can figure today will be ........ hot, humid with a chance of rain. Have a wonderful day.

Sorry to hear of your grandmother Rick. Pete sounds as though you are getting close. Tommy, I'd like to try AX some time. Brad, that is an event I'd like to attend sometime in the future. Matt, you kid you. 30? Ah, to be so young.....

I had a nice quiet weekend. We went and visited with the wife's son on sat. Sunday was my day. Had a birthday over the weekend turned 45. Helped out a church group that pulled into the park Sunday eve. Had to pull one out of a mud hole they drove into while trying to park. Got invited to dinner for that. Picked up some parts I ordered for the truck, so now I'm ready to put on the dual bypass filter setup I've been wanting for a while now.

Sorry about your grandma Rick. Hope for the best and prayer from us.

Greetings, Gurus!

More birthday greeting to Matthew and Pete. And best wishes to you, Rick.

Had a nice weekend, and got to do a little baking - trying out new recipes. I'm having lunch with an old friend today, so that should be fun!

I ran away this weekend. Was in with a small group for a Route 66 cruise through Missouri. Great time meeting new people and seeing cool things along the way. Nice drive but am worn out. Rick, sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Saying a prayer for gandma.

I had a busy weekend too! Two parties and went boating on Saturday. A friend owns a 48' Sunseeker SuperHawk -- sweet boat! We took it across the Chesapeake to St. Michael's for lunch. There were 3'-4' seas in the bay with whitecaps and we was jumping like a purpose at 47 knots. What a Blast!!
That boat has three 502 HP V8s. Sucks some fuel.

I'm stuck out in Beaumont, TX for a few days. I was at Port Arthur earlier, nice area, but the nasty humid weather just wears you out.

Then I had fun arguing with the hotel staff over the neighbors having 3 dogs barking in their room, unauthorized. Got a new room, packed up and unpacked all my stuff into there, then the TV doesn't work. And just now I found out my credit card was cancelled due to fraudulent activity in Georgia. Bastards.
