...when it comes to what's over my head in the '91.
Nothing at all, targa brace, acrylic or painted top.
I think I've gotten more use out of the targa truss already this year than the last couple combined.
Nothing at all is mostly fer just lookin' at.
I like to baby the acrylic top and in summer it's hot.
The painted one is the most practical.
Good for trips and everyday driving.

I liked my tinted top on the 90 and had a filter for it but it was still hot in the summer. My C5 was ordered with 2 tops but by the time I got it I only have the painted one and I don't mind it at all.

Last year my targa brace was on about 90% of the time - love it. I bought one of those Fox RainCoat fabric tops used a while back and planned to have it fitted so that it would work over the brace in a pinch, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

My buddies 91 only has the glass top and man is it hot in the summer.... It sure does look nice thou.

Still everytime I drive his car it's a happy reminder that I have a painted top for my 92.

Sure...rub it in! I usually drive with the top off if I can. The acrylic one sure does get hot in the summer.

agree, I always thought I'd like to have one though.. but really not worth it for the price for me anyway...

I wouldn't mind having the targa truss though...

I wish our '02 had the painted top though, even thought it almost never leaves the MIL's garage...

My car came only with the painted top. Did they come from the factory with 2 standard or was that an option?

When I shopped for my vette 7 years ago I purposefully avoided considering any convertibles. Verts, I felt, made the driver (me) the center of attention. I wanted to avoid that and maintain the CAR as the center, with me controlling it & owing it in the 'background'. Does that make any sense?

It was an option. Not sure if it was available on the early years, maybe.
