Hidey-ho! Warmer this morning, -14 with a wind chill of -27. There was a Florida license plate on the car in front of me, surprised it didn't read "WTF". The weather geniuses say it will be 23 tomorrow - summer-like. We'll see.

Cold here today but no wind yet but tomorrow 45 degrees....they might open the city swimming pool..... More work less fun is what is in order for today....anyone watching the State of the Onion speach tonight....I don't think I can make myself......I see he is planning more moves where he uses his power to circumvent congress to get things his way.......whatever happened to checks and balances......we don't want a dictator...... Gotta go to my happy place now where its always warm and the beaches are white and the girls are tanned and very.......nevermind....... I'm pretty sure I'm going to go home and do something other than watch the State Of The Union address....
All I need to know about the State Of The Union, I figured out today when I came into work and found that about 15 of my co-workers recieved an invite to a mandatory meetin tomorrow - Where they are all going to be told when they are getting laid off.... Thank God I'm an "essential person" on this contract but I feel bad for these folks. Alot of them are friends and we have worked together for a long time on this program thru multiple companies. When the Govt has to dowsize engineering support on a contract it just approved last year, you know the State Of The Union is just above a pile of dog shit. Will |
