Good morning gang.

Not to bad here this morning. The rain showers have moved on and looks like we're in for a cloudy day with temps on the low 50's.

Congrats to the Uconn Huskies for winning the NCAA championship last night. It was a very good game.

Lets get going.

Word of the Day Tuesday, April 08, 2014

deke\ deek \, adjective;

1. Ice Hockey . to deceive (an opponent) by a fake.

noun:

1. Ice Hockey . a fake or feint intended to deceive a defensive player, often drawing that player out of position.

Origin:

Deke originally was a Canadian English term. It's a shortening of decoy that arose in the 1950s.

Greetings! A little cooler today, but since it's so much better than last week, I'll take it. Nice to be driving the Vette again, despite the pot-holes. I'm working on the list of stuff I'd like to do to it this year, how far I get remains to be seen. There's always next year :-P

Have a good day, yawlz!

Good Morning CGs!

Wifey was supposed to be at work today but got called off so we are all here together. Family day. Not sure what is on tap, yet.

Got the dashboard rebuilt and reinstalled last night. Wouldn't you know it, the segment that has been missing for 7 years....is still missing...lol. I talked to Jim from VetteSport.com and he told me it could be either the LCD has a bad spot or the chip is bad. I would have to pull the dash again to check the LCD which is not gonna happen. Guess I will live with it for another 7 years.

TB - the wood turnings on the website are insanely nice. Very beautiful work.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning, Gurus! It's only 8:15a for me, and there's already so much convo here! Sounds like everyone is in a good mood!

Supposed to be 85* today. I think I'm gonna run a few errands today before or after my conference call which is smack dab in the middle of the day. I need to figure out breakfast first.

Hey gang ! We got a pretty good soaking here last night. Looking for a hi of about 50 today.

Once I get home tonight after my Toastmasters meeting, I will begin the packing process for a long weekend trip to Delaware. I leave Thursday and come back Monday. Time for some Rockets, Racing, and most likely Rain. Don't worry, I will find something fun to do if it rains. Extra time with the offspring and grandkids.

Next trip to DE should be in a 'vette ! Planning on the "back way" that trip, there are some really great winding hills in central PA.

I have turned my regular sales guy loose on the 'vette search, hoping for results by Memorial Day.

BillH, I am thinking of 144 between Pleasant GaP and Centre Hall, then 322 from Potters Mills to Lewistown.

Used to run 322 to go to the Penn State weekend parties, nice road for a trip (I prefer the less traveled though for a day cruise on a bike or Vert) but nice anyway.

Most of my local mountain favorites were 40-50 mile south of there. But that was a looooonng time ago.

Stay on 322 (22) long enough and you get really close to Williams Grove.

DAMN BIG DIAMONDBACK!

Pat Long and his son were sitting in a blind preparing to hunt hogs near Midway, OK when this guy poked his head in! Pat's son shot the snake... it's 9'6" long... with 22 rattles,
the head more than five inches wide, the fangs 2.5" long.

CAN'T GET THE PIC TO LOAD.

Keeps sliding off in the corners though.

Sounds like you need a race car instructor to teach you how to turn

To everything - turn, turn, turn
There is a season - turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

And heaven is a racetrack.

Which is better than an annual cat show.

I am well acquainted with Williams Grove, Lincoln, Port Royal, etc. Can't wait to get to some Sprint car racing this year.
