Good morning gang.

Looks like the rain is over for a day or two. It's still muggy out though.

Word of the Day Wednesday, June 25, 2014

peckish\ PEK-ish \, adjective;

1. Chiefly British Informal. somewhat hungry: By noon we were feeling a bit peckish.

2. Chiefly British Informal. rather irritable: He's always a bit peckish after his nap.

Origin:

Though the origins of peckish are unknown, this term may share its roots with the term pick . This term came to English in the early 1700s.

Howdy! I took the day off to play golf. Naturally it is cloudy and gloomy, but I think it's supposed to stay dry. We'll see.

Have a good day, all!

Good Morning CGs!

I have some painting to do today and a wake to attend later for some friends' father/grandfather. 92 years old, no one can say he didn't experience life.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hope everybody has a good golfing, late sleeping, tooty fruity, peckless day. I slept in late too, mainly because I was coughing half the night. Seems like I got enough rest though. I live a weird life cycle. Seems like I build myself up to feeling pretty good and within a month I feel like crap again so I build myself up to feeling pretty good and some foolishness gets a grip on me and I have to build up my stamina all over again. Guess it beats the alternative. I'll be out in the heat today for at least several hours, maybe more. Hopefully I can sweat everything out.

Pretty and sunshiny here today again - rain coming in for the weekend... again... just ONE weekend I'd like to be able to get in the ghetto pool I keep cleaning and enjoy it. Seems mother nature has it in for the working folk - if you're at home on welfare you get to enjoy the sun, but if you work, you get rewarded with crappy weather on your days off. Have nothing to do at work but stare at the screen. Trying to recover from yesterday's woes. Have naked ladies to look at here in a bit - working on a printed double awning for that "lingerie" store I did the trailer for a while back. Florida friend coming up tomorrow evening for the weekend - this might end up turning into a mini class reunion with the list of folks from our class he's looking to visit...

Hey Bill, with all that engine setback, how on earth do you work on that thing ? Sharp looking ride though.

Letty, yesterday you mentioned going out for some redneck racing this weekend. What track are you heading for ? West Memphis ?

VERY badass car 500+ HP 427 Z28. Check the specs on the suspension, brakes & engine (developed by Corvette Racing).

The rear spoiler has a wickerbill that's adjustable FROM THE FACTORY!

AND they fixed the taillights.

The car has 1,000 miles on it, poor Pete had to short shift it at 4,500 on the racetrack last weekend until it's broken in. Redline is 7k.

AND GM's warranty covers racetrack use.

I'll be driving it Saturday.........on the race track of course.

What's up guys.

Got another hour at work then going to head over to 93 ragtops and gear up for another long night of working to get the race car ready for it's 2014 debut at the July 5th MPC Real Street race.

Seems I did this all the time when I was younger and somehow the fun of it all has worn off in my middle age....

As the mind turns ....

Would that still be his Corvette or would the insurance company have taken the title for the stolen vette and paid the owner for the vehicle? Is a 79 worth the price of restoration? Is there any loose change under the tattered seats? So many unanswered questions.

Yep West Memphis - my Florida friend has a cousin that races Sprints - that's who he wants to go see. Something about a BBQ at 2 that day as well.

Can I drive Bills' car?

We got our checks in for the 6 cars that got hit with hail...haven't added them up but probably north of 25K....that would put a blower on the GS and a nice tune they will replace the hood and roof on UBoys Tahoe...Probably the same on the others.....they gave me 4300 to fix Old Green the 95 Chevy pickup....I think that is more than its worth but who is complaining....it may not get fixed....

I'm on hold now about the claim on the 99 step side....bad elevator music is playing....

Tommy - regarding that 79 Vette there is a chance it wasn't insured back then, not all states had mandatory insurance coverage. So in that case it would still be his.
