Good Morning CGs!

A wicked cold one out there today. That was yesterday, too. It's supposed to warm up a few degrees over the next couple of days, though.

How was everyone's weekend? I decided to start playing with the vette at about 7pm last night. I only had to put a new retaining clip on the cruise control cable/tb since the last one decided to take a cruise of its own across the garage into never-never land. Damn clip. Well, after that I figured I should start taking off the door panel to do my outer door seal, one of my winter projects. Then I could check out the speaker on the p/s that was vibrating (PO put it in). Well, got the door panel off without injury. Come to find out the speaker (5.25") was haphazardly thrown in there without any adjustment to the bose box. Ugh. Too big, the rubber surround is all compressed and it was hitting the cover distorting it. Dumbass shoulda used a 4" and wouldn't have had any trouble. So now I'm gonna start completely removing the bose boxes and rewiring everything for an amp. That plus the door seals :shaking: WTF? How did a 30 second cruise clip turn into 4 hours per door panel???? Ugh. I'll see you for tomorrow chat if my wife doesn't kill me in my sleep.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Wish I had mine home to work on it, but I'll have to wait a couple months.

Was that one of those "jesus clips", where you slip a screwdriver under it, then it goes "ping" and you go, "Jesus, where did that go?" (one of the funniest lines I've ever read in a tech writeup)?

The traffic terrorists on the radio had me worried this morning, said there were accidents all over the place, but I had a pretty normal commute for a change. The countdown is on - just working today and tomorrow, then likely off until the new year.

Good Morning Gurus!

Spent the weekend getting all my video equipment into my basement. Got everything wired up yesterday. I'll fire it up this morning and test all the gear. Three edits to get done by Wednesday. Hopefully after that I can take a few days off. I'm pooped. That stuff is HEAVY!

Have a super day, everyone!

Good morning! Well we finally got some of cold air down here in Ga. It was T-shirt weather Sat., two shirts and a coat weather today. Had a in-law dinner Sat that was OK. Drove the 89 there, about a 150 mile one way south of Atlanta down I-75. I had forgotten had beat up and rough that x-way is. It's pretty much just a truck route anyway. Have a good day.

Morning Guru's,
Gunna be sunny and hovering just below freezing here today.
Heading down to Seattle today to p/u my son flying in from Berkley. Apparently snowing there again today. Highways should be ok but downtown Seattle will be a joke, not looking forward to that. Normally a 2 hour drive from here....expect it'll be more like FIVE today. And hopefully the flight won't be delayed or cancelled. Yesterday most flights in were delayed cause they've had worse snow than we've had up here in the Great White North.

Merry Christmas to one and all!

Just like he says. Saturday was warm (washed the Vette),
Saturday was cool (went out and cut some more firewood), today is down right cold (hell with it, staying inside). And I-75 is crazy. Up here it is smooth and 3 lanes each way, traffic moves about 80mph average, but get near Atlanta and it is insane with 6 lanes each way and people driving anywhere from 55mph to 90+. I stay away from Atlanta as much as possible. Hope everyone has a good day.

Ugh...

I think I may be trying to draw too much power through my uninterruptable power supply. (battery backup) When it turn it on, it just beeps like crazy. It did that last night, so I figured I would let it sit, plugged in overnight with the unit powered down. That did nothing. I'm pretty sure I'm not asking the UPS to do anything more than it did before, but I am not very knowledgeable in all things electrical.

I do need some pretty serious juice to power all of my equipment though. I may need to call my buddy to help me run a dedicated circuit or two down to the basement for all this crap.

Grrrrrr.

Oh well, gotta figure out a way to limp along until I find a solution.

Thus begins the joy of business ownership.
