Monday afternoon my neighbor decides to remove ALL emissions systems on his 88 corvette. Every code in the book is displayed on My scanner including the DaVinci code, His goal "wants his vette to beat his wifes new mustang gt..I tried to explain the techno differences between 88 and 2010..I think he was abducted by aliens....Teachable moment..never use wire cutters when you can unplug, and always disconnect the battery. How do you spell dumbass...

He pretty much fried every fuse and some wires/replaced fuses, engine will start but not run...His wife is to say the least a little nuts and suggested he buy a pink prius.Wow I get it to start. needs ecm and some relays and a fricking marriage counselor....I think hes been verbually neutered...

Wednesday morning 7:30 am. 88 Corvette being loaded on car carrier bound to local chevy dealership...His wife is still pissed... while my collie taking a big dump I their yard.. Now she whats him to drive a pink VW. I always thought he was fairly intelligent... being an attorney and all. LOL

How fast is the new GT? I never had trouble drag racing against them 2 years ago.
Yeah, steel wire cutters don't work so great if you cut both wires at the same time. He probably picked up 0.25 horsepower for his work. |

The previous one was a 3.4L V8. Damn the pistons must've been the size of bottle caps. It was a zippy motor, but no real power, and no stick.

Post script re: 88 vette and psycho attorney....chevy dealership by law has to replace all emissions crap he cut and tore off. @85.00?/hr plus parts estimated cost is 4,300.00. A nos kit would have cost him less than 400.00. I get the feeling that his wife is the boss of the family!! He is driving a pt cruiser from enterprise until they figure out what to do.

What an idiot. If he was a good lawyer I would think he would be driving a new Vette. At present it sounds like he needs to brush up on divorce policies and procedures.

I was at the local Chevy dealer last night, hoping to get some OEM wipers... no go... 1996 wipers are now on backorder... yum. They had a decked 2010 Camaro SS, 6spd, LoJack (which seems pointless with Onstar)... plus the $2k in ADM... $46,700!!!! Someone is smoking crack. |
