Yesterday is a day that will live in infamy ..... Wait ... We already have one of those ....

I love being a hero, Alan .... Isn't it just great when something is an easy fix? You can walk around like your John Wayne. You can say stuff like; You know how much the service company would have charged for a repair call?
I'm Bad, I'm Bad. That's Right, Yah, That's Right.

Good Morning CGs!

I will start off by saying I did not watch the football game, doesn't interest me. But I already saw the internet video of Christina Aguilera and wow. I can't believe it.

Alan - glad you got the water heater issue sorted out. Mine was giving me fits for a while (my brand new one!) but seems to be ok now. Since you're a hero now, you should take advantage of that with some, uh, breakfast in bed

Not much to report here.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

The words were only half the story. Her runs on the melody were atrocious. Why can't anybody just sing a vulcan song anymore?

Atta boy Alan, you are the Guru Mr. Fixit for the day. Matt I am still trying to come to terms with the fact that you did not watch the football game. It doesn't seem quite normal....

I thought a lot of those songs were prerecorded and then lip synced so things like that won't happen. There was only a billion people watching I don't know why she was nervous.

Taking the happy couple back to the airport today so they can leave all this beauty and have to go back to Southern CALIFORNIA, the land of beautiful people. On the way we get to stop at one more dress shop. I better bring my Corvette magazine.

I did get some work done on the Vette in my heated shop. It was so strange picking up a wrench and not having it freeze my hand.

Let's get out and git it done Guru's, have a good day!

Greetings! Nothing wakes you up quite like a cold shower, indeed! Glad you got it sorted out. We're headed back into the deep freeze with highs in the single digits and wind chills of -20 to -30. Delightful.

Indeed, Ms. Aguilera's over-the-top wailings were abominable, and messing up the lyrics was just icing on the cake. I thought the halftime show was sucky, too, though I usually don't mind looking at Fergie. The resident Packer fans in the office will be in their glory today.

Have a good day, all!

If she cut the yodeling, maybe she would have remembered the words. It is a difficult song. The range, and especially the phrasing. It's one of those things you memorize as a kid and don't really know what it means. "o'er the ramparts we watched", huh, watched what? were so gallantly streaming, what was?
How many people know the meaning of "Auld lang syne"
Who the hell is Auld Lang Syne.

Good Morning All, You know I listened to the opening song by Aguilera and missed the screw up on the lyrics. I'm sure a lot of people did too. All these singers do things different. Oh well, now we have something to look forward to next year.

It's important to the American people that we find some little thing and make a big deal out of it. That way we don't have to acknowledge the really important shit.

Well not in the overall scheme of things. We only think it's important. It all disappears with the next black hole we slide into.

Good Morning guys.....I must admit, I didn't watch the game either, and had no intentions of watching it. Total waste of time, IMO. Not an Aguilera fan and it doesn't surprise me that the lyrics were screwed up. As Don said each singer has their own interpretation of the National Anthem, most would be better off just trying to follow the "normal" interpretation (Just my opinion again).

It's a normal Monday, kids are a bit blah. Another weather change is on it's way tonight, then back to seasonable temps by Thursday and Friday.

Good afternoon guys. Didn't watch much of the game either. Apathy is probably the biggest contributor to my non viewing. Worked in the shop until 10:30 last night organizing, cleaning, and pitching stuff.
Kids are blah also. No light in those eyes today! Kids look burned out with school. We put on two belts on the schools Toro Snowblowers this morning and changed oil in the big Kabota tractor. Yea I know its wood shop but we do everything!
Well guys gotta go we are installing a 37"x60" 60 grit belt in our Powermatic sander, gotta make sure its installed correctly before they hit the start button.

Glad I'm not the only one. I was in the garage pulling heads. I did watch the last half in an attempt to catch some commercials...once a year that I say that.

Gray gloomy day here. Just spent 2 hours running the roads getting parts.

It's Monday...let the fun begin!

I did watch the game, very good if you ask me. I missed all the opening crap, so the Anthem was a non-experience. She screwed it up... at least she was trying, vs. Rosanne Barr that time. The halftime show was very disappointing.

I just came back in from the garage... I am installing power windows and locks in the Jeep... plus finalizing some fixes from a prior break-in (2 owners ago).

The smash/grab specialist fucked up the radio harness... and I have been chasing it in steps ever since. Tonight, I finally located the Sirius receiver in a perminant place - under the drivers seat. Also dressed the wiring down the rocker panel and into the back door for the rear window and then under the carpet for the sat radio box.

I had to remove the seat which = vacuuming up broken glass -from over 5 years ago!!! real good detail job, eh?

I am fixing the Jeep in little steps... here a fix, there a fix... not hitting it all at once. Takes it off the road too long.

I think tomorrow will be the new fog lamps.

I have a page from a day by day Onion calendar saved that makes me laugh every time I see it. It's a photo of a magazine cover (spoof, of course) with several people with intense, concerned looks on their faces. The headline is:

Something important

Are we forgetting to do it right now?
