Naunop irauni!

We have a fresh, but thankfully not very deep, blanket of snow. Looks like we'll have highs around 40 for the next week. The average high temperature this time of year is 60. But who wants to be average.

Keep warm, Gurus!

It's not much better here. It is about 20 this morning, but probably will get into the 40s today. The weather devils are talking more snow this weekend. One says it will be the last. I was thinking of sneaking out the Vette for a drive today. Maybe.

PIA 90. I mentioned the other day about the problem I had with the climate control system and the Bose Radio. After the radio was disconnected the climate control began to work perfectly. My audio guy is installing a new harness, Clarion head and new speakers all around. He's done all our audio/alarm work over the past decade and knows what we like. No high tech gadgetry. Just something that sounds good at a fair price. All i need is AM/FM CD. Of course it's MP3 and phone compatible. I will never use that function. Next on the 90, I have to readdress the slave cylinder issue. Damned thing is leaking. It's only about 3 years old and has less than 3000 miles on it. This is one of those things that really, really piss me off. I hate having to rerepair something that's pretty well new. The day is young. I have plenty of time today to engage in a regular activity around here.

Sitting in Dover, DE watching it rain. Oh well, going to head out to the launch field and see who all is there. Maybe the rain will let up.

Have a good day gang.

Clear and highs in the low 70s for the next three days. I am about to head out and pick up a pallet of Emerald Zoysia for where we have been clearing in the front yard. I am quite sure I will be sore by the time I have that all put down.

Cold right now but might get 46 they say...it is clear...will try to get some work done.

Today I am another year older and deeper in debt and I told St. Peter that I can't go couse I owe my soul to the Company Store......that would be Obama coming up on the 15th......how the hell am I going to pay for that new stuff on my Harley if I gotta give it all to the gobernment...geez louise.....The truth is I still feel like I'm in my 30's....ok my early 40's.....so I guess that is what's important.

My Dodgers got into a great brawl last night with San Diago. Of course I had just shut it off and had gone to bed so I had to see it on the highlights this morning...Greinke the pitcher broke his collar bone in the fight and will be out at least a month....I broke my collar bone once in a motorcycle mishap....takes a while to heal up.

Went out to shut off the shop lights last night and had my fighting Yorkie dog with me and we found a 40 lb. coon eating out of the cat dish....got real exciting for a bit and the Yorkie did not like the coon at all. So I'm watching all this from the top step as the dog tears around after the huge coon who then just comes lumbering right past me on the way out with the dog in hot pursuit...I had to laugh...never a dull moment in Nebraska...

Have a great day Guruistas....live large, every day is a gift....

Good Morning CGs!

My day of laziness continued yesterday as I did accomplish all I wanted. I did make it to Menard's and got 2 rolls of 30 lb underlayment and about 70 ft of base shoe. I also moved some furniture. Today I will finish pulling the carpet and base molding.

Last night I picked up an older used mountain bike for the wife from Craigslist. It's a Giant and in decent shape but poolrl maintained. I was able to talk to guy down a bit so I got a good price. Just needs some clean up and some time greasing the chain, cables, derailleurs, etc. This was we can both take the kids out for a ride.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good luck with the 90 Tom I hear your frustration on a fairly new part failing.

Warm to hot and humid today. I'm sweating before noon. Spent the morning in the front yard. I'm gonna take a shower then launch round 2. Working on cleaning the house and washing the cars. I didn't get to that the other day and everything is dirty. My FOR KEV tag came in so I have to pick that up and mount it. I have a nice frame for it. Chrome flame surround. Off we go. Daylight's burnin and there never seems to be enough daylight. Good thing. I already work till I'm ready to drop. If it stayed light much later than it does I'd be dropping in the yard.

Sod is done, now it just has to grow. I figured it would take we two days to finish it up, but did it all in 5 hrs including going to pick up the pallet of it. I am using Emerald Zoyzia as I really like the look and it will require less mowing. So the total is 2 pallets down and only about 10 more to go. Prepping the ground is the really hard part - involves removing ivy and digging out a million rocks and roots.

This is what the yard looked like before. Actually it looked worse with ivy everywhere.

Resized Image

This is after several weeks of digging out ivy, roots, tons of rocks, and even debris.

Resized Image

This is also from the front porch, but looking to the right of the walkway that goes up to the road. What looks like a pile of rocks is a Koi pond with a waterfall further up the hill. We are at the very end of the road, it dead ends into out driveway, so nice and private.

Resized Image

And I added a little bit of flagstone where there was just dirt and weeds.

The links come up as "Broken" , Andy.

P-bucket changed a while back.

Go to your Library, put your curser on a pic and a little star wheel will appear in the top, right corner.

right click that and the dropdown will show "Get Links", click that and then click the img one, it will automatically copy.

Then hit paste in your Guru post.

OOPS, Andy I deleted one of your double posts, maybe you were deleting it at the same time.

Anyway, it took me a bit to figure the P-bucket out when they changed.

Note, I don't think you can get the "Get Links" thing when you pop up an individual pic, you can only get that in the Library.

That's looking great, Andy!

And good luck with your project, Matt! Sounds like I will get to install new tile on much of our first floor sometime soon. I can't wait :-P

Hilly, heck yes.
This is from the back porch looking down to our lake house, equivalent of about 6 stories down.

Well you have level ground and a fire pit on the way down/up. If you get tired, you can pitch a tent and stay overnight to rest up.

The lake house would make a really nice dog house.

Andy, what kind of wild critters do you have there? Eastern Diamondbacks? Water mocassins? Allygators? Coyotes? Racoons? Possum? Fish?

Looks really nice, Andy. Could a bobcat or something similar make short work of clearing the debris?
