Good morning gang.

Welcome to the day after St Patricks day. I hope those that participated in the green drink are feeling good today.

It's clear here this morning and a nice moon is out. Temps in the mid 20's with highs in the upper 40's maybe even low 50's with plenty of sun. For those of you in flood areas watch out for flooding as winter winds down and all the snow melts away.

Word of the Day Tuesday, March 18, 2014

venerable\ VEN-er-uh-buhl \, adjective;

1. commanding respect because of great age or impressive dignity; worthy of veneration or reverence, as because of high office or noble character: a venerable member of Congress

3. (of places, buildings, etc.) hallowed by religious, historic, or other lofty associations: the venerable halls of the abbey.

4. impressive or interesting because of age, antique appearance, etc.: a venerable oak tree.

5. extremely old or obsolete; ancient: a venerable automobile.

noun:

1. a venerable person.

Good Morning CGs!

Supposed to be warm here, might hit low/mid 50s so that would be quite pleasant and welcome.

I dropped my rims off yesterday but the tires still hadn't arrived yet. I hope they come in today so they can get installed.

Not much else to say. Looking forward to a couple of days off.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Howdy! The weather geniuses are predicting 2-5 inches of snow today. Hopefully they will be wrong, as we don't particularly need any. I'd be happy to send what we have somewhere else.

Have a good one, Gurus!

Good morning

We were stuck with high humidity till a rain band ran through leading a cold front. Not much of a cold front though. More of a cool front. High's this upcoming weekend are predicted to be around 84.

WELL, YA LIVE AND LEARN.

I SAW ON THE INTERNET THAT FINLAND HAS THEIR OWN VERSION OF ST PATRICK. HE DROVE THE GRASSHOPPERS OUT OF FINLAND WHEN THEY WERE EATING UP ALL THE GRAPEVINES. HIS FEAST DAY WAS THOUGHTFULLY ESTABLISHED AS 16 MARCH, SO THE FINNS COULD HAVE A LITTLE WHISKY BEFORE THE IRISH DRINK IT ALL UP.

WHO KNEW?

Good morning, Gurus! I know it's been forever and a day since I've been here! Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

It was super fab seeing Tommy this weekend!

Taking GabbyCat to the doctor this morning. She seems to be doing better, but not back to her usual feisty self quite yet.

Morning guys....I've been busy already, second coat of texture on and new light switches and outlets in. The Insulation man will be here after bit, he's insulating the neighbors house down the alley.

The weatherman was right, it is windy. 30-50 MPH with gusts to 65-70.

Always nice to see Bastet checking in here.

Hey teebee! Hey Matt!

Flipping channels - found a show on History Channel called No Man's Land - about different people/activities that take place in the harsh southwestern desert. Well, there's this one guy who wants to live off the land, etc, etc, and he went hunting for grasshoppers. He figured he needed 20 of the buggers for dinner. I think he expended more energy 'hunting' for them, but anyways. He gets back to his rock overhang to get his fire started and grill the grasshoppers. As he has them on a skewer he comments that when they're perfectly grilled they have a nice pink color like shrimp. And as he's eating the first one, he goes off on some existential amazingness of eating grasshoppers and how delicious they are and how you feel so connected to how things should be and on and on. I'll take his word for it.

Wondering bout that plane too..
Worked all weekend here, got paint masks for the 50th anniversary emblem under the hood to that '03, met the shop owner up there Sunday and got that done, proud of us. I applied the four masks inbetween him painting what I put there - we were both nervous as hell when it was unwrapped... when it's cleared will be purty. very tired though - thankfully slow day at the 'regular' job
Hope Sebring was fun, and Matt likes is tires - and where's the pic of the shaved head?
Very sorry to hear of your friend's loss, Tommy...

Stopped by Joe's today, work on the 37 Chev continues.
Front cross members for the rack and coilovers are in.
The new rear frame with 4 link is in.

Joe fabed metal plates t completely box the frame and tacked the rear & front suspension, sent out to a local rod shop to have a pro do all the major welding.

But the bigger news at Joe's was that a guy in Reno called him and offered him a totally dissembled 58 Fuelie for $40k

Total matching numbers car.
It has a brand new frame and a completely restored fuel injection with it. A restored FI unit can run $15k.

He said he's going to buy it even though he hasn't sold the $150k 63 Splitwindow Resto and has $80k in that red 66, 427.
And he really doesn't want to sell his '04 Z06 since it only has 13,000 miles on it.

Wish I had these problems.

I have the vector file for that hood logo I can email to anyone if you want your own.. Just tell your vinyl shop you want paint mask material if you order the separations. The anniversary part can be easily removed for regular c-5 logo. This can be done with any vette logo .
Thanks all for the compliments. Forgot to mention on the gaps under hood an $8 cake icing bag and #10 tip did that, smooth out with finger, use tad less hardener in the bondo. Thanks all for the compliments, he did great on the paint
