I want everyone to bitch and moan to their heart's content about the forum in this thread. Anything you don't like about this place, every little thing. Tell me if the dots on the i's are too small or the smilies aren't smiling enough. Or if you need a tech tip on how to change your blinker fluid.

I'm not saying we're gonna do anything about it but I want to know anyways. Some things are surprisingly easy to fix, others are a pain in the ass, (which is why some problems are still ongoing).

I'll start for example... I noticed nobody's using smileys. Probably because there isn't any smileys handy on the post page, you have to open that window and pick through them.

And who doesn't like the colors besides me? I want to give Bogus some ideas. Right now it's as colorful as a foggy day in Antarctica.

I don't like the white background. I had to send 5 pms because it kept saying error before it finially told me it went thru? weird...The pm boxes seem really small. I don't like it opening in a new window page when I click on "how do you guru" sections. Other than that, it's fine.

Stop making me log back in every time i visit!!!

I jump in and out several times throughout the day be it in the car, on the road, or in the office doing paperwork. These sites are sort of a brain break for me.

I'm in quick, look around, then out again....

Having to log in every time is a PITA!

Thanks

Logging in all the time is at the top of my list.

The classifieds are awkward post to, and not near busy enough.

Im sure with time Andy will get the little stuff sorted out, sure it takes time to get a site "just right"..

Only thing I can think of is its 93 out, and cheeseburger & beer would taste real good right about now.

Well, had to scrape the windows on the car for the wife this morning (She'll be late for her own funeral), 31 degrees, brrrrrrr.

Oh, back on subject.

The log-in non-remember-me option is a pain.
I don't have mozilla (Mothra-Godzilla?), so I don't
care for having to log in every time I visit the forum.

Well, if this makes it, at least I can post here from the office. I suddenly can't post from home - it keeps telling me I'm not authorized, or need to register.

On the bright side, I drove the Vette to work today :D

Could it be that its not your home computer but our forum was down at the time? (that happened to me)

I don't think so. I could log on, but when I'd navigate to another area (like the forums list), it would lose track of the fact that I had logged on. If I logged on again and attempted to post, it would tell me that I didn't have authorization to do so. It also wouldn't let me send a PM. I got rid of Temporary Files and also removed the corvette-guru cookie, but no luck.

Keep me logged in.

Darken it up in here, Rule 1 on a successful forum is to be easy on the eyes to get people to stay longer

Easier smileys,

Loose the popup for the PM window.

Real classified sections

I wouldn't mind seeing a point & click list of the vendors on the sidebar.
I saw a new vendor in the banner, it went away before I could click on it. I tried jumping back & forth between posts and it didn't come back so I never got there.

I sort of like the popup PM box. Or is that causing havoc with the popup blockers? Because when I send a PM, it's sort of an aside to what I was reading, so I still have my original window there.

I'm adding a PM link under the avatar too.

The smiles don't bother me.

The colors don't bother me.

Logging in every time sure does.

And I've mentioned my distaste for the forum logo, but it sounds like that is not an addressable issue. So I am prepared to live with it.

Oh, wait... The audio forum... Arent there enough differences in the generations to warrant separate audio threads in each generation? Just wondering.

OK, let's see if I can post from home now. I just installed Firefox. I'm running Windoze 2000 and was using Internet Exploder.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee, it worked

I'm not fond of opening additional windows (tabs) when jumping from the home page to another area.

I'm not sure what you mean. When I click submit it dumps me back into the thread I was viewing.

There's an inbetween screen that happens during the loading.... can you clarify?
