Well, not in a bad way. No accidents or anything like that.
Apparently babies don't listen. For anyone who is a daily chatter, you know that my wife is 8½ months pregnant. Apparently that little snot growing inside of her decided she didn't want to wait until June 4th to come out and play. So I got the phone call yesterday at 4:30 pm (during my sleep before work...how convenient) that it was "that time". So I went to pick her up and off to the hopsital we went. I've been here since then. And we've waited....and waited...and waited a little more. I dozed off and got a few hours sleep on the couch. Doctor finally gave her the happy drugs about an hour ago and I slipped out so she could get some rest. It's about 6:50 am now. I'm using the hopsital's free computer to kill some time because sitting in that room is driving me nuts. I think pretty soon is when the pushing and screaming starts.

I'll keep everyone posted and get some pics up once it's all over. If you don't see me on the board for a few, you know why.

My Ex had two C-Sections and , for me, they were great. They pick a time to check in, schedule the surgery and it's all over. No "time to go" phone calls.

Well, a little update. It's about 8:35 here, finally got a breather and a chance to get away.

Baby, Samantha Michelle, was born at 3:06 pm. 10 fingers, 10 toes, cute little nose. 7 lbs even, 18½ inches long.

Wife pushed for almost 2 hours to spit that little bugger out. Doctor came in with this thing that looked like a plastic lid with a sponge on it - stuck it to the baby's head and vaccuum sealed it, then used it to pull the baby's head out. Pretty neat. It was hard seeing my wife in pain/trying so hard, but wow what a rush of emotions.

My folks drove about 5½ hours to be here, showed up right before the baby was born. Ola's mom was in the room with us, her brother was in the waiting room. So the whole family was there, which was really nice.

After the birth we got to spend a little time holding her, wife got to feed her. She's now in the nursery for a little bit so my wife can get some sleep. She's had a long hard couple days. All together the labor was 23 hours, with 2 hours of pushing. That's a tough broad, I'll tell ya.

I've been at the hospital the whole time, so I won't get a chance to upload pics until the next couple of days. I should also mention I haven't showered in 36 hours and I feel like a scumbag. Sorry if this post didn't make sense....posting tired is like posting drunk (but not as much fun...lol)
