I let a mechanic drive it once to find a loose gizmo-somethin' (turned out to be a rear SB link); and my stepmom (tried).

Dad was ticked, 'cause then she said wanted one.

That was Saturday. Monday they bought a new '09? Eclipse hi-po somethin'... about 600 hp.

I've let my BIL drive it - no one else wants to. I dunno. Wife refuses to, the in-laws get scared when I take 'em for a spin. My dad might want to drive it but I think he's scared. Oh well. Just a car. I'd let anyone I trust drive it.

All sorts of people, including a few who had never driven a manual before. Only the car buffs seem to enjoy it. I guess it has too much character for the rest of em to handle.

I've let a couple of friends drive mine. My wife hasn't driven a stick for about 15 years, so she doesn't even want to attempt it. Given the fact that she has taken 5 mirrors off of various cars over the years by hitting the garage door opening, that might be a blessing.

I am REALLY jonesing to drive it now :-(

If I trust them, I tell them to run it hard, but they're usually too chicken. Give me the keys to your car and I won't hold anything back!

My dad has driven my car once or twice, and my wife has driven it a couple of times a long time ago. I don't believe anyone else has driven it since I owned it. Not that I wouldn't let anyone drive it, just not had the opportunity to let them.

No stick here! Hell, anyone can drive my slush-pump!

Right after my divorce I was living with my mother for a short time until I found an apartment. Quite often it was in the driveway behind her buick. She's drive it work. First time she showed up in it, they really didn't expect to see a 70 year old 5-foot woman crawl out. She says she hates the thing though...

an ex bf or two when I'd need to use their truck for something...

LOL Vetteblondie!
Reminds me of a friend/employee of mine.......he bought a new Mustang GT....had it (beat the crap out of it) two months and then lost his lisence......so his 5' middle-aged mother (who co-signed the loan)took it over. She told me she 'really likes' the new corsa exhaust. LOL

I've had a few close friends drive my vette. They were all too timid to appreciate it though. My wife, on the other hand, totally SHOCKED me! She hasn't driven a standard in over 20 years, yet she handled it real smooth! (Much better than MY first drive in it!)

Sure. Why not?

Its just a car and some find it a fantastic experience.

Sharing that bit of excitement with others is creating and passing along the joy of driving a CORVETTE.
