I got a job as a truck driver right out of hgh school. Crud it was a stick. Told the manager "ah sure I can drive a stick" not. I would take off in first, it was a granny gear, and jam it into second. Learned pretty fast in traffic how it worked. My boy learned in our little toyota truck and has graduated to driving the vette.(When I'm with him, of course)

What does a Sky Caddie GPS do?

Its a hand held device that uses satellite to pinpoint where you are on the golf course. It gives you yardage readings to the bunkers, water hazards, ditches and greens from where you stand. So basically, it gives you one thing to think about when youre standing over the ball. For what it cost, I wish it could hit the ball as well. Thanks for all the replies, Y'all did better than my own family.

There is a mask replacement kit. Found mine on Ebay. Usually the nylon gears on the old mask break off from deteriation. Its a fairly easy fix, but it is tricky to get the new one to feed back in.

For the first time in years I didn't ask for anything for the vette. Got a Sky Caddie GPS for my golf game. The car has been just fine for the last six months. (knock on wood)

Workshop ? How about a storage shed.. My bench is cluttered as well, I have to clean it off before a project. Then it sets cluttered until the next project. I don't throw much away either, but I put it in the attic.

Heck, nobody would make it to work, because everyone would mellow out and chill. Of course, the also stuck snack truck would suffer a large hit.

Golf again today, didn't win any money, but had fun (had to throw that in there). Only got up to 77 today and a little windy. We are delaing with the pine tree pollen, turns the cars yellow, great for the allergies. I guess were lucky, it's not snow.

What sucks, if the government is in control they would build cars we don't want. Funny, Obama can tell these big businesses how not to spend the money and he can take 500 people to England for a summit and think people will look kindly at that? I'm telling my son to get into politics, its the only job thats has a secure future.

I would say " I will write a check and send it to the attorney" It shows him that you are willing to help, hopefully something he will appreciate. Don't tell him how much you sent. If he gets his life straightened out, you might be the family member who cared and he may somehow repay you. Thats just me, hoping for the best for all.

When my wife and I lived in Long Beach back in 1985, that was my birthday gift. We lived on Ocean Blvd. and just walked over. Is it still by Shoreline Village ? I stood in line to take a leak for 30 laps and basically missed the race.

Last weekday of my week off. Boo Hoo!!!! I played golf sunday thru thursday and didn't get rained one once (even though it was a 60 % chance). Rested today, cause the rain kept me from going to the Spring Nationals here in Baytown. But I'm going tomorrow, meeting friends and tailgating. It will be a blast. Ah nothing like the smell of nitro in the morning !!

AC is fixed ( previous thread ). Now when I turn off the car I hear a hissing sound from the coil era, and I can hear it inside the car under the passenger side, glove box area. It starts strong when I first turn it off, and then slowly goes away. Any ideas ?

Charter falls, I'm not surprised. I payed 80 bucks a month for internet for my daughter as school (Denton Tx). Called them each year about thier rates and they wouldn't budge. Always wanted me to do the phone,tv,internet thing for 120 bucks. Her senoir year I went with verizon for 40 bucks a month. Charter calls and wants me back for 29.99 a month. Thank God, I couldn't reach thru the phone, I tonguelashed the operator ( I know its not her fault ) and hung up. I still get their junk mail and phone calls. I know how you feel.

OK I got it going. The jumper involves placing a paperclip between the the two female inlets of the high pressure cycle switch. Just unplug it and stick the clip into the connector. Now the ECM has detected a low freon code and won't let the compressor kick on. So I disconnected the battery to clear the code. With everything hooked up, I started the car and put the AC on high. I first added the refrigerate with 2oz. of oil. Then came the R12. Once I got the compressor to stop cycling frequently, I reconnected the cycle switch and it stayed on and took the charge. Low pressure,, 31. High pressure,, 220. 72 degrees at 81 % humidity. Numbers look OK. Thanks all

Well another " Big Crap" comment coming. Got the fitting, thanks CC, its perfect. Now I hooked up the gauges, the low side pressure was high and the high side is low. I couldn't get the compressor to kick on. I tried the jumper trick. (is this right ?) Disconnected the wire from the ( high pressure line ) cycle switch. Tried to put 12 volts into one side of the fitting, nothing but some smoke popped up. This is where the "CRAP" came in. Didn't seem to hurt any thing ( no blown fuses) pulled out the jumper quick. Now I'm stuck, might be taking it to an AC guy. Any thoughts ?

It seems when I let off the gas as the rear wheels get outside at, say 30 degrees, I feel the car jerk back straight. Is this the point when I turn the steering wheel back in the opposite direction (gently of course) and decelerate slightly ? I want to experience the reserve slide while mainting control.
