Good Morning.....sitting here at school and checking email before kids show. another nice fall day ahead. Not much planned. Just about got the new pickup the way I want it...for a while. I still want to put on a cat-back and CAI. I think I'm going to want until it's out of warranty.

Well the kids have shown and class is going to start. Bell just rang.

Morning gurus....cool here this morning as well. Weekend was way too short. Kids here at school are pretty calm, so far. Must be Monday.... Men's night is over for me this year, not that I wouldn't mind golfing, but the Men's Association just stops doing it until next spring.

I hope everyone has a great Monday, Matt make sure that you let us know if anything happens.

Hey guys....late start for me today. I did sleep in a bit and then I worked on a couple of computers today. That pretty much sums it up. We are having fantastic fall weather, a high of 68 today and light breezes....wished I'd been out doing something instead of inside working on computers, but I have to do that when I can, to keep those clients calling back. This week should be a bit better and not quite as busy. No home activities to work, but I do I a Knights of Columbus meeting Wednesday night.

Think I'll go outside for a while.

Well, what you describe sounds very much like the problem I had with my 94. I chased it for months, until I found it. I had ruled out the possibility of it being the Opti as it only had about 2500 miles on it (new GM opti). After I could not chase down the cause of the miss, which got continually worse, I took it to a mechanic. Within an hour he had found that the optispark cap was arcing all over the inside. My 2500 mile opti was a POS....I bought an MSD had it installed, problem solved.

Good Morning guys.....I just got up, man did I sleep good. Windows open and 48*. We have a FB game in a few hours to watch and we need to go to the "city" for some shopping after that. I saw something about that guy too....crazy, if you ask me.

Weather today is supposed to be mid-upper 70's and a light breeze. Not much planned for tomorrow.

I never really was much of a drinker, smoker or any other vice. Not that I didn't have the opportunities, just never felt like that was the appropriate outlet. My dad, a WWII vet, never drank around us, Mom didn't either. Older brother, younger brother both had issues with most things....me, I felt like I could do more with the money I made rather than drink it or smoke it up. I applaud each of you who have not had issues with those vices and for those who did/do I applaud your efforts daily in fighting your way clear to keep/stay clean.

Have a great trip Tommy. Not much here for a Friday. Home FB game tonight, so I'll be back here working that. Weather is comfortably cool right now (60*) shooting for a high of 82*, light breeze....so basically a perfect fall day. You folks have a great Friday.

Hey guys...I just about missed today. I've been real busy at school and this evening my grandson played football, got beat again. Marcus, too bad about the youngin'. I'm glad that everything turned out well...they do heal fast. Weather has been nice today high of 80....20 degrees cooler than yesterday...which was a record high for us. Supposed to be low 80's again tomorrow.

Talk to you guys tomorrow.

Yea seeing that will give me nightmares tonight....

About 9 months after I sold my 64, I was looking in the want ads of the Wichita paper, the ad read something like this.

1966 Corvette convertible, 427/450 hp 4 speed, both tops, low miles $4800.

By the time I called it was sold. It was an early 66 as the very early ones were rated 450hp from the factory, but then the insurance companies had a sh!t fit, so they reduced the rating on the later ones to 425hp

Afternoon guys...Been a busy morning for me. C2's for me too! My first ride in a Corvette was a 63 SWC, I was about 9 or 10. My first Corvette was a 64 coupe back when I was 19 and kept it for 2 1/2 years...wish that I could have afforded to keep it, but it wasn't in the cards. My ideal Corvette would be a Marina Blue 66 427/390 4 speed roadster with white/black interior, with white top and blue hardtop, AC, PS, PW, PB. Not asking for much huh? OH, and it has to be priced at about $15k......

Pete....damn kids, blame it on the teachers. Tommy, after my ride in the SWC, I had several models of Corvettes. Brad, I never would have guessed there was that much damage to your car. At least you get to drive the Vette while the weather is decent.

And Tommy, don't rub it in.

Morning guys....All you world travelers, me I've been to Canada and Mexico....and 38 states, not a world traveler. I would like to, but my wife isn't big on traveling. Kids are pretty laid back today.

Ron, you DID drop a pumpkin on it! Matt, it will happen....someday.

Got to get to class, talk to you later.

Morning guys....I'm feeling pretty peppy this morning. It's amazing what a good nights sleep will do for you. Brad, I do hope you can find something out about the car, it always stinks, that first ding. Tommy I know what you mean, but I guess I've chosen to work, and you know what? This year, so far, is going very well....maybe you just explained why. Bill, we are having some outstanding weather, lows in the upper 40's, highs in the low-mid 80's. Tonight is last Men's night at the golf course, steak night on top of it all.

Evening guys.....been a looooooong day. Got up early after staying up late with the friend from Maine driving his 66 roadster around the country. He's a great guy. Anyway I was up early and had a church men's group meeting in Wichita (4 1/2 hours drive) and had to be there by noon. Spent about 4 hours there and then headed back. My butt's a dragging. Dang I was so sure that Saturday was the day Matt...sorry it wasn't. Tommy your wife is way different from mine, she wants to pack a week early. Bill the cleaning looks good, you'll be done before you know it.

Good morning gurus....It's saturday and a wonderful day weather-wise. Cool, calm and a bit of fog right now. Grandson plays football after while, but we don't have to travel today...except cross town. A guy on corvetteactionscenter is on a 48 state cross country road trip in his 66 roadster. So far he's been out 48 days I think. Visiting other Corvette people and sight seeing. Anyway he's coming by here later today and I'm putting him up for the night.

See his blog here http://jackpanzica.blogspot.com/

Matt, I'm still saying today. I think you are right, what goes around comes around. There are still good people out there. Andy, that's a cool deal, you'll love the Corsa. Bill, you don't have that garage cleaned yet....you slacker . Tommy, you'd better be prepping for the big cruise, instead of playing with cars.

Talk to you guys later.

Good morning America, it's FRIIIIDAAAAAAY....I was in for Saturday too. It was sad around the house last evening, the grandson was pretty down after their 38-16 loss. He played pretty well, but they were just not as good as the other team.Tonight we have homecoming, so the kids won't be worth a darn today. Parade after school, and the sophomores asked me to pull their float. Tonight I run the clock, new scoreboard and controller, guess I ought to get there a bit early so I can familiarize myself with the new technology.

Need to head for school, talk to you later.

Morning guys...it a soggy morning here as well. First rain in about a month, we needed it bad. I'm not at school yet, so I'm not sure how things are there yet. It's Thursday and that means MS football, so my MSer's will be bouncing off the walls today. It's also the last day before homecoming, so we take that into consideration.

Matt, I'm going for Saturday to be the big day for you, don't ask why, it's just a gut feeling. Don, ain't technology fun?

OK....I lie, I'd spend some money, pay off the house, maybe buy the wife a new car and probably the middle daughter a new van. Right after, I'd change my name and try to become anonymous.

Thinking about $160 shipped

It is model # 30005 1999-2000 GM Truck/SUV

Hey guys....finally made it home. I knew it was going to be a busy day. Meeting with the principal during the plan period, teaching the other 6 hours, jump in the pickup and head for the "city" to do some "new pickup things", like swap insurance, find a stainless steel bolt to install the bed rails, un-program the Hypertech from the old pickup, while there, drop off some receipts of parts I put in it. Pick up a part from the Chevy dealer that I ordered for the Corvette. Then drove back home and headed straight up to school, this is homecoming week and I had to sponsor float decorating for the sophomore class. So it has been a long day. The wife just called and she's about a half hour from home. I'll unload the car for her, then I can think about hitting the sack.

Talk to you guys tomorrow.

Any of you guys interested in a HyperTech programmer for a 99-2000 Chevy pickup? I got one I'll sell!

It was down right chilly yesterday morning, but it warmed up to 92*, supposed to be 90 again today before we start to cool off. We try to hold off until Nov.1 before we turn the heater on.

I can see already that this is going to be a busy day for me. Several things to do about my swapping pickups, and I have to meet with my principal during my plan (who knows why), the wife called this morning, I'm thinking she is calling to tell me that she is leaving KC, but no, one of the grandkids was sick in the night and she's staying until SIL gets home before she leaves for home (it will be late when she gets here as it is 6+ hours). Kids are showing up , I need to go.

Talk to you guys later.

Thanks again guys....I have certain requirements and leather seats is one, which generally means you're getting quite a few more options along with them.

One of the neat things that I have never been exposed to is XM radio......that's nice, never been around it before and not sure how long I'll get it with this truck...might have to subscribe. The radio has an 1/8" mini plug so you can plug in your MP3 player, that's nice.

Oh, and the dash is that same milk chocolate brown instead of black...I like that too.

I already have my Truxedo tonneau cover ordered for it and I kept the bed rails off the 99 which I will cut down and install on this one.

Down the road I want to get a Corsa exhaust and a CAI. It's the damn kid in me.

LOL.....OK, here are a couple of pictures.

That's not black at the top of the door panel but a chocolate brown that goes perfect with tan.

Morning gurus...The garage will never be where you want it, at least I can't. Like Bill, just about the time I think it's there, I go to HD or Lowes and buy more stuff then have to find a place for it.

I'm up at school grabbing the camera and a couple other things. I'll get some pictures posted of the new pickup later.

Sorry guys, I've been busy detailing it. Bill, it's got the 5.3 and a 6 speed auto trans. The thing runs about 1700rpm @ 70mph should get pretty good gas mileage. Also it has the active fuel management which basically will shut off 4 cylinders when the extra power isn't needed. I just got it, sort of, clean up to my standards. I'd take some pictures, but the wife took the camera with her to KC to visit the grandkids there. Maybe I'll run down to school tomorrow and grab my school camera and take some shots....OK that's what I'll do. In the mean time, it's white with a very pale tan leather interior....very classy looking....until I get in, and then it just looks like another pickup.

Hey guys, I got up early this morning to go to my #2 grandson's football game, they won 7-6. He didn't play too much. After returning home I headed over to the "city" and ended up trading pickups. I now have an 09 crew cab Silverado LTZ. More money than I had originally intended to spend, but it's almost new with just 18K. I have been cleaning it up (to my standards). I am headed for church now. talk to you later.

Got home last night from the football game at about 9:30...we won...and GSon played really well. He made some really good hits. Still kind of looking for a pickup. Might expand my years to a little newer models. It's Friday and the kids at school will be a bit hyper today, but I can handle it. Going to be in the lower to mid 90's , I'm ready for some early fall weather (70's and lower 80's).

Talk to you guys later.

The old Oliver takes less time than my Powermatic, Ron. But then again, yours has, what, three or four knives? My Powermatic has 36. I have a couple of jointers that need the knives changed too. I do mine after school or in the evenings or Saturdays, they pay me well to do it ($45/hour), still less than having someone come in and do it.

Morning guys....The kids aren't here yet, so it's quiet. Supposed to be low 80's today and I get to drive an hour to watch my grandson play football, so this evening is shot.

Matt, happy anniversary. Yea, when things get down near the end, they get real testy....it will pass.

Talk again later.

Well, I'm still in my pickup....the Denali just didn't trip my trigger and the Place with the Chevy, didn't want to sell it (wanted way too much difference). I left an offer and told them to call me if they decided to take it.

Sweet looking Escalade, Tommy! The Denali isn't quite at that level. I still need a "real" pickup, although when you start talking crew cab the bed gets shorter.....

Morning Gurus....Matt, shit happens and much of it we can't control. Life is a bus ride and are on it for the ride, sometimes where we don't necessarily want to go. Roll with it and take the best parts, learn from the not so good. You have a lot going on right now and it may seem to be too much, but you can handle it. Look at the good things and dwell on them.

Picture day here at school, so every time I get into something they are calling for these people or that person. It really makes things difficult to teach a lesson. Oh, well it's only one day a year....no, wait, we'll do it again in about a month for those that missed today.

I'm looking at trading pickups, mine still is fine, but with the grandsons getting older, (read that: bigger) the extended cab is getting a bit crowded. Anyway we drove an 07 Silverado yesterday and testing an 06 GMC Denali today. Not looking forward to thinking about spending that much money....maybe I'll just let the boys ride in the back and keep my old pickup.

We've hit many lead slugs....usually in Walnut or Oak, so I assume they are errant slugs from shooting at squirrels. I can imagine that trying to find a set of knives for that vintage of a planer might be a bit tough.

Morning guys....it's been a busy one, although I can't say what I've gotten accomplished. Tommy, so sorry to hear of the problems with your sister, we all hope a pray that she pulls through. I just can't compare with what you guys are doing here recently. I have Volleyball matches to work this evening, I played golf last night and travel Thursday to watch GS play football. Looking at trading pickups, got a salesman bringing one over today for me to test out overnight. Ron, we have been lucky so far this year, no breakdowns......yet. I do need to swap the knives out in both jointers though.

Got to hit the shop and do a little cleaning.
