Weather is nasty cold cloudy and not good for driving my Vette. All my strange expieriances have angels involved and have saved my life on one occasion. Good stories that maybe I will share someday.
Got #2 daughter heading to New York City with a class from the University next week. They are going to be touring the fashion district and seeing other stuff. I always worry about my babies going to the big city like when my #1 went off to L.A. Can't keep them down on the farm forever I guess. Try to mow the lawn today if it isn't to wet. First I have to get motivated to go out in the cold. Life is a gift live and enjoy it but take time to help others through the tough spots, we are all going to have them. Have a great weekend Guru's! Outside! Let'er buck boys!

Yes on the first 2. The pad numbers are not right. For an intake number the 3835580 is not showing up either. 5590 is an intake for a 50 to 58 235 engine. In another place I see where the 5580 is on a 1953 235 engine. Weird!

Why don't you want to use the original block and build it up if you are going to go for option 2 above?
I can see the time factor being important to you in that you want to be driving not working on the car which option one would give you. Wouldn't it be better to keep the original engine block in it. Maybe that doesn't matter on a C4. I'm just thinking out loud........

Good morning Guru's! Matt out here that is what we call "right neighberly of you" to help him with the concrete. That's a big job! You are also a good Dad, and all that deserves the much coveted, Atta Boy! Keep up the good work!
Tommy thanks I could have gone all day with out knowing that. Brad, I was too busy drawing Corvettes with big slicks and Hurst shifters during science class to take time to come up with cures for sickness. Kudos to that kid and sometimes it takes those who don't know that they can't do something to get it done. Wet cold rainy so looks like the Ag industry is shut down for the weekend at least around here. That's ok got plenty to do in the office. Enjoy your day Guru's, do something fun today!

I am trying to figure out how the previous owner got the plug wires backwards? Wires must be different on the LT cars. No way you can mess up the L98 wires. Mmmmmm wait a minute I better go out and check........

The car was actually a teal color with matching interior and a light teal outline on the seats. Beautiful color. I have always looked for another one to restore.

Good morning Guru's! Got some rain yesterday that came at us sideways at about 60 mph. About an inch best we can
tell sometimes the sideway rain won't go into the guage. Will do some clean up work around the place tree limbs and junk blown about. No real damage. Good for the crops right now. Not much else going on. Nice looking chairs TB! We have some old cars in common. The 64 Polara and the early Vettes. Tommy how about Tommy's Crazy Beautiful Corvette Club? No? Ok, how about Set your ass in Fibergla..........Nevermind. Have an industrious day today Guru's.

What's the name of your club Tommy?
Don if I lived in your area I would be in your club. If you would have me of course.......is there a snooty test you have to pass? I would even take off my Lone Wolf sticker. Big storm just went through with lots of wind damage and some power lines down. We had some hail but not bad. Look out Brad it's coming your way and it's getting pissed off.

@TB, that was the only way we could run some decent size rubber on the cars. As for the other sites giving you hell for messing up a classic......screw them, they weren't classics back then just cars that needed moded to perform better. Jerks! Geez......

It is easy to look back and shake your head knowing what I know now. I did not have that luxury back when we were building a business, needed a station wagon to haul the young kids around.......sometimes I think I should have tried harder to keep it but money was short.
We are where we are because of some sacrifices made. That 63 is one I would like to have back though.

Don, I kept waiting for one of our illustrious leaders to get things rolling because I had to leave, so I just got the thread started. I enjoy our daily chats from across the Guru Nation.
Matt, I'm thinking TB grew the trees and chopped them down and split out the wood by hand to make those chairs. I might be wrong but I think he hand makes all his projects. They look great! I think I will have him build me something.

Nice TB! Got some flaired wheelwells I see. Here is the mother of all bad pics showing a flaired sidepiped 65 Coupe I once had. This is the only picture I have of it. Big flairs like the big bell bottom Levi's I used to wear.

Sooner or later everyone that owns a Corvette with a Bose system in it faces what you are. Mine still works and I will keep it as long as it functions, but eventually I will replace with a new system. I know from other posts that the best thing to do if you do change out is to replace everything wires and all. Hopefully you can find it and fix it. Good luck on it.
Andy knows a ton about sound systems and will chip in soon I'm sure.

Corvette has always been a status symbol. It made a statement about you. Some folks take that to the extreme. I was always interested in the performance but you can get that in a Rambler if you spend enough money. I do enjoy the thumbs up and the smiles and waves as I am cruising low on a warm summer night. I think everyone does.
I have always enjoyed having something cool to drive and go fast in and I want to hang with others who like the same things. The owners I relate to are the blue collar types who have worked hard to get their cars and have worked hard on the cars because they did not have a lot of extra bucks. That's the Vette owners I enjoy being around and I can tell the other kind real fast. I enjoy talking to all types and like the fact that we all enjoy a great American car.

Morning sunshines! Got clients wanting stuff before the sun comes up. Maybe not so hot and windy today. Yesterday was a bear. Big push starting to wind down but still going strong. Some corn that has been in the ground for almost a month is just coming up. It looks to be ok, amazing!
I'll check in later......let's get out there and make the living today, we got people depending on us to do our jobs.

I think it hit 100 degrees here today. I think TB sent that right on up to us after he enjoyed it. Nice wind also.
My daughter wants a Corvette for her 21st birthday.....I can't afford to get her one but I did ask her what about a hot camero and she said Naaaa, I'm only interested in Vettes Dad. (sniff, what a great kid.....sniff) Sorry got a little emotional there. maybe when she gets out of college.

Good Morning Guru Nation. Hot here today, 90 with some wind. As I expected no spring just winter and summer. That's like Montana, with 2 seasons, winter and the 4th of July.
Work as usual today with about another week of planting if no rain. Good to see the return of the lost continue. Have a great day everybody!

My stock is pretty low right now. First I forgot our 28th annaversary, and now I don't think I did enough on my part for the whole mothers day thing. Geez, you would think that by now I would know how to avoid these messes. I still have the rest of the day to get the Mother's day thing fixed.........although I do have some things to do on the Vette......Nuts!
Nice here today, going to be 80. We had a good time at the nephews graduation. It was typical small town midwest ceremony with 34 kids in the class. The school gym was packed with farm families taking a few hours off from planting to honor their kids. You know you are in the Midwest when they open a school function with a prayer. Nice! Gotta get ready for church. Then I think I will clean the whole house.....that ought to raise my stock some. Enjoy your day guru's.

What all did they do to get it to hook up? They can't be putting that all through the stock rear end set up.

Good Saturday morning! Got the mowing done yesterday with a little help from the hired man. He was sitting around waiting on a farmer while I was on another run and just jumped on the mower and finished what I had started. Atta Boy! I gave him a little bonus money for the weekend. I was impressed.
Graduation today over west in a small village. My nephew is graduating from High School. Weather looks clear and warm so I will take the Vette over. I had the exhaust system checked out yesterday for any leaks or things that needed tightened. The shifter has never been quite right and that seems to work easier now. Pappy is around and has had some posts on a new hot rod he bought recently. Blondie has dissapeared along with Dads90 and others. I might have missed the announcements that something bad happened but that is all I know. Matt did you put in a pool? Pics? Have a good one today and hey, hey, lets be careful out there! Forgot to mention it's my 28th anaversary today and yeah I completly forgot it. Nuts! Completly got by me......I am dirt!
