I hobbled through yesterday pretty well. Try a repeat performance today doing some outside chores. The major rain storms have left. Standard outdoor fare awaits. Pool, lawn, weeds and a little raking and sweeping. I guess that's why people wait longer for retirement. So they can save more to pay and watch the pool and yardman do their weekly rounds.
To me it's like a workout. It keeps me physically in the game. Have a great day everyone.

Good to hear you're on the mend, Tommy. Another hot one here, mid-90's and humid. #1 son has been camping at our house for a few days since his place doesn't have central air. Hopefully this stuff will blow out of here in the next couple of days.

Have a good day, all!

Good Morning! Still hot! Still humid! This getting old.
My daughter brought her ZO6 by last night! Nice car! Vette is tame until you start it up! She leaves on a business trip today, and wants to do all the detailing herself.
Nothing planned today! Had Thai Food last night, tasty and "hot".
I have another meeting at school today.
Have a great day guys.

I lost sleep last night pondering the question . . .

If I consider CG a news source, do I have to stop using the Quote button?

A window unit cost about $150.

He's got one, but it doesn't keep up - old house, crappy windows, poor insulation, yada yada yada.

The weather here's been fantastic. A/c hasn't kicked on in a week. 83 yesterday and I had to shut some windows last night at 6 p.m. because the breeze was too cold.

Glad to hear your recovery is progressing Tommy.

Another hot and humid day here. Mid to upper 90s with mid to high humidity. At least it is supposed to be cooler next week.

Ron, was that the first time you saw your daughter's Z06? Bet she was excited to show it to you.

Central air is about $5000. Make him cook breakfast.

Been leaving the windows cracked open here 24/7, heater or a/c hasn't kicked on in weeks. (No your son can't stay here.)

Morning guys.....I actually slept in a bit this morning 7:30 MT (8:30 body clock). Not much planned this morning...daughter and her family are going on a hike. I actually slept with the heavy spread on last night, and it's cool this morning. Ron, did she let you drive it? I bet it was a kick.

I hope everyone can stay comfortable in the heat today.

I had a chance to see it briefly last week. Apparently when I was outside checking out her car she posted something on our forum. She told me that when I took her to the airport this morning. Cool. She is excited.

Had a little thunderstorm here last night. My SIL was trying to get some pictures of the lightning, so I took my camera out and showed him how to do it.

Very Nice!

We got hammered with a T-Storm last night around 10:30...
Of course, I had to go sit out on the porch and watch it!

Well, I'm not a millionaire, guess I have to go back to work. Broke even on the tables last night but the slots got us. We were down, up, down, up....down. Oh well. We had fun. Plus got a free room and a couple buffets out of the deal so not bad over all. Also did some shopping at the outlet mall so my wife was happy about that. Lots of baby clothes and a few things for me.

Gotta wash the vette for a show tonight...tbirds vs vettes. Also have to get a run in before that, hopefully it cools down a bit.

Got off the phone a little bit ago with the insurance company subcontractors. I'll be taking my vette over to a local shop pretty soon to get a new melrose top fitted to replace the broken one. I can't complain about that. On a side note, I've got a mint condition L86-88 top for sale

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Great Pics Tom. Got another call to return to South Haven, Michigan for another prop repair and two more power boats with possible damaged hulls. My favorite thing pier diving and on a Friday no less. Hey guys this may become a retirement gig for sure. So now I'm on their go to list! Should be interesting.

Maybe my wet suit will fit better
