Reflecting on last year I see I am like many other gurus when it comes to participating in New Year activities. I fell asleep in my recliner at about 09:00. I woke up around 10:00 and we made our way to bed. Up at 06:00. My mind is clear and I just slept a good 8+ hours. We are off to celebrate today with a New Years morning brunch at Mil and FIL's. We were invited to go to Daytona for the weekend and enjoy a paid 5 day stay at a beachfront resort. My idea of an escape is me and Sue spending time, not three couples asking each other what you're gonna do next. Too much talk and chatter so I took a pass. We do need to take a getaway though. Maybe go on a 4 day cruise where we don't know anyone. That way Sue can talk up a storm and gamble and I can isolate and throw money at a slot machine. The perfect getaway. Enjoy your day gurus and for those of you that had a little to much to drink ......... Suffer motherf@(%er ....

Good Morning CGs!

So another year, huh? I don't really reflect on the old year, I just move forward. I don't make resolutions for January 1st, I just make resolutions throughout the year and do them. I guess today is just another day. I didn't celebrate last night and I'm going to work today. So essentially, it is just another day.

I got a chance to use the repaired snowblower last night. That thing is a beast. The motor is very powerful and it literally pulls you forward. I have to adjust the bottom skid plate because some snow is getting tossed behind as you walk. I also need to inspect the crank mechanism for the chute, when you turn it one direction it sticks. Not sure if it is worn or has broken teeth. Still works great, though.

Tommy - any details on the house transaction?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Nah. Closing is set before Feb 18th. the guy is pre-approved but we have to go trough all the inspections, title search, surveys and all the other bs that goes along with it. We have a closing agent and an attorney representing us. The contract is pretty well cut and dry but we still prefer to have our legal interests protected. Closing and attorney is costing us $1250. The house is being sold as is but it's an FHA loan so they have their say too. There is a backup cash buyer interested if this transaction falls through. We had the house appraised so we wouldn't lowball our asking price. We went $4k over the appraisal. I'll let you know when we close by posting one of these ....

The first racetrack day in Calif. is in 2 weeks.

For New Year's I had 2 beers

And went to bed at 10:00

For all those celebrating and shouting "Happy new Year"

Happy New Year Guru Nation......may it be a prosperous one for you. I took a hot bath in my tub and was sound asleep in bed as the new year came in.

To celebrate it is snowing sideways outside....but we don't care because it's HUSKER GAMEDAY....The Gator Bowl is on at 11:00 central and we play the Dawgs from Georga.....again. Didn't have much luck playing them last year and according to the smart money in Vegas we won't have much luck again this year. But that's why they play the game and hope is a commodity out here in Huskerland so bring it on....

First a fortifing breakfast then get a fire going in the fireplace then get on my game face and get that big pot of oyster stew going......plenty to do and we are burning daylight...

Enjoy your day Guru's....

Happy New Year gurus....

Like Matthew, I have to work today, but only the afternoon gig. Breakfast and Mimosas before I go and a little Twilight Zone marathon on Syfy to top it off.

My new passenger window regulator should be here on Friday; in time to change it on Saturday. The B pillar weatherstripping job is next weekend along with the targa.

Have a great day, no matter what you're doing

Happy New Year Y'all... I was asleep by 11, up by 8 - feel like I'm coming down with something - no work today, sit around the house and look at 4 walls I suppose - nothing to do and all my chores are caught up that I'm able to do anyway. Oil need changed in the car still but the shop lift is occupied.

Whoot, all right, Feb. 24th

Private track day at ThunderHill

Taking Gary's 65 Mustang

A bunch of drivers already asked me to instruct.

I have 2,500 competition laps on this track.

Unless it's snowing on Donner Summit.

The countdown to 2015 begins! I resolved to not get up very early today. Pretty exciting day here - the Christmas tree comes down, and then there's more tile work. So far there is no show shoveling on the agenda.

Sounds like you have a fun Feb. 24 lined up, Bill! I'll be sitting on a beach in Puerto Vallarta, thawing out.

Have a good day, all!

Happy New Year, gurus. I was up normal time and decided to go to school and workout. 40 minutes on the orbital and 20 minutes with lights weights. Then off to the "city" for church and groceries. 30* when we left, came out of church and it's sleeting. By the time we make it to IHOP it's snowing pretty good and the temp is down to 25. Hit a couple stores and now it's close to blizzard conditions. Grab the groceries and it's backed off some but we headed home. I got nothing planned for today......maybe a nap.

Sounds like fun Bill. Brad, I'll let you do the shoveling. How are those Huskers doing Marcus? Tommy, sometimes those FHA deals are a PITA.

While wrestling with the Christmas tree, I managed to put a nasty scratch in my glasses, glad I let the gal talk me into buying the replacement insurance. I suppose it is better than getting a nasty scratch in my eye.

Happy New Year, all!

Out late in the city with my best friend (my wife Ivelis) and my best male friend (Adam). Left the steakhouse around 2:30 AM. Stayed up until 5:00 AM. Managed to get up around 11:45 AM. Not hung over, surprisingly.

I'm not too concerned. If the buyer can't buy it there's a buyer in the wings. If the second buyer decides they don't want it, we have a realtor ready to go. It's gonna sell one way or another. We really don't want to rent it out.

Christmas season is officially over in T-Bone land. Everything is neatly packed away till next November. While we were putting stuff away, my wife pulled out 4 boxes to see what she wants to sell at a yard sale. My main shed is a little emptier though, so that's a bonus.
