OK, just like the title says. What are they? Don't be afraid, we won't make fun of you (too much)

Mine is to lose 5% body fat in January. That means I'll be eliminating from my diet:
Bread and simple carbs,
Beer (oh GOD no....the horror of it all),
Fast food,
Chips and other junk food,
Soda (even though I only drink diet now),
Juices (they are surprisingly high in sugar if you actually look)
Other non-essential calories.

I'll basically be eating a more balanced diet without the junk, appropriate carbs/protein/fat split.

I'll also have to start adding in cardio to my workouts, a minimum of 2-3 per week, which will be 2-3 more than I do now

Once February 1st rolls around I'll go back to being a slob.

So what are everyone else's goals????

Matthew

I am tired of making resolutions that get broken in the first week of January. SO, this year I will be making one that is guaranteed to not be broken for at least 11 months. I resolve to start my Christmas shopping before the 1st of December in 2009.

Try SNUS!! (http://www.getsnus.com) - it worked for me....
----------------------------------------------------------

My last resolution was the best I ever made - "Make no more New Years Resolutions", and I've stuck with that (and it's been 20 years now).

Instead, I make New Years suggestions....

I made one resolution years ago that I keep every year.

No more New Years resolutions. It has worked like a charm.
Never any disappointments.

Cancel my gym membership and start biking instead. It's more fun, and cheaper than going to the gym. And if I don't go riding it doesn't cost me anything.

Continue my current exercise routine (stationary bike 40-60 minutes every morning), add weight training. Lose additional 52 lbs by Jan 01 2010.

Stay busy enough with my new business to keep my house and feed my kids.

So you won't be doing anything differently this new year?

Dan - you need to introduce me to your sister. :greenbounce:

Jeff - I thought you told me your resolution was to be nicer to customers since they are always right?

Everyone who said "my resolution is to make no resolution" - you all suck. Lame.

Making promises you can't keep is for pussies. To admit you have faults and deal with them takes a real man (or woman). Who needs a special day to make a commitment. Wake up, say I'm not going to do this or I'm going to do that and stick with it. You don't need a New Year to make a resolution.

I don't have to loose weight, and my wife is hot so I am covered there.......Almost forgot, and plz no more cylinder head threads from our friend unless he can back up it with actually facts (dyno/track times).

No need mentioning them, won't happen anyway.
But as usual, lose weight and not date jackasses anymore.

AFR powered? My vette uses gasoline to power it.
My 09 goals are typical.
Eat healthier
Try to control my blood pressure a bit better
Exercise and possibly drop 25 pounds

All reasonable goals.

Sure. I make a resolution or two every year and stick with it. As long as you made reasonable resolutions and are dedicated you can do anything.
