I rarely buy bling... but every so often...

But I needed tires... and it was time to do something with my totally worn out sawblades. I have never liked the sawblades, to be honest, and I have been looking at the Torquer II's for several years.

So.... I pulled the trigger!

I was actually shocked how much newer and fresher the car looks.

It has really brightened the old heap up!

The tires are new Kumho Ecsta XS. They ride really nice and stick like glue.

So far! So good!

They look great. Much better than others I've seen.

So you got wheels and tires on eBay with Buy it Now, Paypal and got your 8% or so back from Microsoft live.com, right? (If you didn't get your rebate or signed up, shame on you! I talked about this several months ago!!!!)

That's how I bought my Cray's and am looking at the ECSTA's from Discount Tire on ebay with free shipping... Or where did you buy your bling???

I got them from tire rack, and since the guru is a click through sponsor, we get nice spifs on both the tires and the wheels!

As for my car, the new clutch hasn't been done... I didn't get the parts on time. I am now aiming at july 4th.

The future is bright for Bastet's car. I have tons of parts and will spend some time this weekend getting them in and ready.

Looks great, Andy!

I got some bling today, too - shiny new heat-blanket material to cover the motor mounts and to use in a few other places. Really living it up :-P

Those wheels look awfully familiar!!

Looks great

Your spokes look a tad darker than mine.

It really does make the car look a lot different. Really cool.

Will those bumpers take to some buffing, or is the paint completely shot?

Looks great Andy. I'm a fan of the black rims. When I put mine on, it made the car look completely different and updated, just like yours.

I like those a lot, very nice!

Are they the TT II's or TT M's?

I have been considering those for mine, but I can't find the TT II's with black spokes, and I can't get the TT M's in the size and backspace I need.

TT M's. They have a better offset for these cars. The standard II's look a bit odd against the fender line at times.

Well, it'll give you a chance to come up with that custom dark jade metalic pearl paint job.

They're not too bad, really not any worse than any metalic to touch up. Obviously, a solid color's easier.

I'm currently on my second round of touchup on the Black Rose, most of the chips are coming out nearly invisable.

It's the white primer underneath that wizzes me off.

If you do decide to paint, tint the primer.

Andy, those looks sweet on your car bro. I almost got TT II's for my car because I didn't want to have to wait for custom-ordered billet wheels (but I lucked out and found just the right set on ebay).

Nelson V.

P.S. Oh by the way, I'm not making it out to El Segundo today...
