Good Morning CGs!

Hope you all have been good this year and Santa doesn't put coal in your stockings. Santa visited our house last night and dropped off presents (yes a day early, shut up). My wife and my daughter put out milk and cookies last night and they are gone - Santa must have been here! The kids, once again, are gonna get way too much crap! Oh well, what can you do.

I'm not feeling 100% right now. A few nights of interrupted sleep and the cold floating around the house is the culprit, I believe. A little vitamin c should fix me up.

Any big plans for the weekend?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Looks like good weather here, not great, but good for travelling. Our son has a few days of leave and is driving here today (in his Corvette of course) and our daughter is also coming over. Just a relatively quiet family Christmas planned. Hope everyone else has a very nice Christmas.

Just looked out my front widow and there is a coal truck trying to make a delivery. He obviously has the wrong address.

Clear here today but don't know how warm its going to be.

Matt trust me these are the cheap Christmas years for you guys....they may get a lot of stuff but it doesn't break the bank...when they turn into teenagers the stuff they want costs a lot more.......IPods, smartphones, earphones, game systems, freeking shoes and on and on.......smile and enjoy the piles of loot under the tree.........

I'm off to Capital City for some shopping today and then home for candlelite services at church and then Oyster stew and homemade chicken noodle soup tonight. I love oyster stew but no one else does some there is more for me.......so that's why I make it..........

Have a safe day Guru's.......

Merry Christmas eve morning to all my friends.....Not sure, but I think that coal truck is stopping here too Tommy. Just a quiet CE here today with the wife, daughter and 3 GSs...yea right, quiet with a 7 year old. Tomorrow we will get up and head to the In-laws place (normally about 2 1/2 hours). We will stay a few days visiting friends and relatives, then come back home so the wife can work the last few days of the year.

Weather is supposed to be OK for travel, but there are still snowpacked and icy conditions in the area. Will probably make the trip longer than usual. If anyone else is traveling please be careful and watch out for the other guy.

Not sure how you make your stew Marcus, but I love oysters. I usually get mine in a potato soup base. Like you, I am the only one who likes them, so I don't get it very often.

My soup is pretty basic....dump 3 or 4 cans of good quality oysters (Three Diamond or Starkist) in the big pot and heat them a bit...I drain them before I put them in. I then add whole milk some sea salt and some Worchstershire sauce and a couple of cans of corn or frozen corn if I have it. I heat all that up and serve (to myself) with oyster crackers and an ice cold Busch NA. Mmmmmmmmm

I make enough so I can have some for a day or two after and it gets better as it sits in the fridge. I'm making myself hungry.......

I forgot you need about a half stick of real butter also....

Ho-ho-ho! You guys can keep the oysters, but those crab look pretty good. My sister-in-law sent us an Omaha Steaks steak and lobster package, so we'll have to crack into that pretty soon, but not today. Everything is under control here, so we'll just be chillin' until my sons get here later. Oh yeah, we get to watch the Viqueens try to stay in the hunt for that first-round draft pick, too. The excitement is at a fever pitch :-P

Have a great Christmas Eve, everybody!

Good morning gurus.

I don't much care for oysters at all so y'all can have it. But I do like crab.
Well our durango gave us a Merry Christmas present this morning while running errands. Seems like the power steering pump went out. I'm not going to complain much though. Bought it used with 184,ooo mi on it. It has 185K now. I just figured it is just normal wear and tear.

What's everyone's plan for Christmas dinner? we are having Prime rib for dinner cooked in the Big Green Egg.

Have a great guru day.

Good Morning Gurus !

Personally, I don't know why anybody eats oysters. Now those crabs are a whole 'nother story. For me it will be turkey tonight and ham tomorrow. Girlfriend and I spent the evening last night making Pierogies, some stuffed with cheesy potatoes, the rest with sauerkraut and onions.

Howdy and Merry Christmas!

Just got back from the 4'th trip to the store today...to get those last minute or forgotten items...
Rushed right in and cracked open a cold one...NOW I can't get sent back to the store!! What's a little more coal on the pile anyway!

We're having Crawfish etouffee and Crawfish pie tomorrow--sorta tradition around here for us!

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Well I got the power steering pump out. Now I have to get the pulley of the old pump. That looks like it'll be a chore. Guess I have something to do tomorrow.

Strange on this end weather wise - below freezing at night and warm and sunny during the day. Christmas Eve dinner at my aunts was cancelled - her husband had a heart attack early this morning, had to have 5 stents, he'll be locked up till Tuesday. Geez... My aunt's a wreck...
got invited to a party last night, couple other folks there I was told had been to the place running their mouth about me, when they asked why I wouldn't say hello - well, I very nicely pissed in a couple people's cheerios... then some other mess with someone I'd been seeing involving securing a rent house for a woman that works for them, couple lies here and there and I pissed in some more cheerios and had one more glass of Apple Moonshine and left quietly. Obviously missing my mother, father and others this holiday, spending the holidays here at the house. Been a bbq beer kinda day and will be tomorrow.
Started back at the gym and all my friends got me, guees what for Christmas? CHOCOLATE!
they must all like my ass being fat
anyway, Merry Christmas to you and all yours and thank you all for being here for me to whine, gripe and bitch to
And for making me laugh and feel loved -
God bless you all
