Good morning CGs!

Ahhh, back on schedule. How is everyone feeling this morning? Supposed to be warm today, but no rain. We do, however, still have flooding in several different cities/counties. The governor declared several of them disaster areas for state assistance. All from the hurricane. Ike affected all of us :sad3:

What are the plans for today? Anything exciting? Let us know.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Mornin'

Just crankin' up the 'puter here this morning and trying to figure out where I left off yesterday.

The wife backed into a car parked on the side of the road last night. No owner was around so she asked about the car at a produce stand across the street from the parked car. They said it had been left there the night before by some kids. So.. My wife takes down the license plate number and leaves. She called me and told me what happened, so I told her to get her butt back there and leave her information on the car. Well, I met her there and the car had been moved during the short time she left and then returned. Apparently the guy that picked it up was the kids dad, and he was mad that the car had a flat tire and the keys were locked inside the car. The people there said he looked at the bumper and fender, but there were so many other dents he didn't seem to care about it. He left with the car. Then we arrived and left our information with the folks at the produce stand, but nobody has called yet.

Her car didn't have too much damage. Its an Xterra and the rear corner bumper cover just collapsed. A new one is $45. I didn't see the other car, so I have no idea how bad it was. I know she was pretty upset about the whole thing, even though it was nothing really.

Oh well - enough excitement already.

My wife rear ended someone awhile back and she was very upset. Lady pulled out in front of her and my wife could not stop in time but the lady took off. So my wife is there in the middle of the road, broke headlight, hole in the bumper. Anyway, I ended up fixing the headlight but never heard anything from the lady.

Good Morning Gurus!

Took the day off yesterday. My buddy had a root canal, and has an irrational fear of dentists, so he was pretty stressed out. But the whole thing went very well.

Upgraded to the new 3G iPhone. Wasn't gonna, but daughter's birthday is coming up, and she wanted a more text friendly phone. The prices of the ones she liked were outta sight, so I offered to give her my old iPhone if I upgraded.

So, what it amounts to is that I bought myself a new phone for my daughter's birthday.... I'm a bastard, ain't I?

Matt, how's the workout? Are you totally in the swing now?

Mechanic, if you are referring to me on the flaming, it's not gonna happen. I was just stating my opinion. But someday, someone on here is gonna make a bonehead post, and maybe somebody will link them to us.

What's the expression? Turnabout is fair play? Something like that.

I hope everyone has a super day!

All quiet in N GA this morning. Looks like possible rain and I haven't had the Mustang out for about 3 weeks, so guess the Vette will get the day off today. My son got back to the UK safely and now my daughter has been sent to Houston to help out with Ike recovery. Makes for a very quiet house.

Driving the vette for the first time in weeks. I can't carry a ladder on my motorcycle. Actually I have this collapsable 12' ladder that fits easily in back of the vette for crawling around on job sites. Babysitting contractors today that refuse to follow directions. Damn, why can't people realize they're hiring incompetent people? They take the the cheapest price no matter what.

Someone out there has all the service manuals on DVD. Now I'd love to get my hands on those... I can't find his username, he was offering copies but other forum members ran him off with unfounded scares of copyright infringement.

Wow, active chat today! Glad everyone is so enthusiastic.

Where to start....Lichen is the guru trivia winner today! Will Rogers, one of the greatest political humorists ever. And he gets an extra point for having a Garbage Pail Kid avatar!

Chris....yes, you are a geek. Yes, you are a bad father for exploiting your daughter's want of a phone to upgrade your own.....lol.

As far as the workouts, I've switched things up a bit. I was doing the P90X, as some of you remember. What a killer. It helped my cardio level a lot. Very tough workouts. But I got bored since it was somewhat repetitive. I finished the 90 day program and saw good results. Last week I switched off the program and I'm going back to some heavier lifting to bulk a little. I am, however, using some of the workouts as my base because it was a good program for combining certain movements and muscle groups.

Crash, please don't use Pappybonics....one is enough! Lol. Although we do love him!

CC - I thought what the guy was giving away wasn't the actual service manuals, it was the parts manuals you can buy on cd on ebay. I have the cd and I saved the link/pdf. I can send you the pdf if you want.

Without looking it up, that would be my guess, too.

I've had 10 freaking migraines since Friday - ugh! Supposed to be beautiful for the rest of the week, so I just put my targa bar in place of the top, maybe for the last time this season.

Do tell. I'd like to add some things to mine.....
Thought about upgrading to the new one, but I'm very happy with the old one, plus if I switch, the rate plan goes up as well. Not very nice of them for that.
Decent day at the office today, bit crappy at home though. Still miss the vette, hope I get it back soon. Parts are still rolling in.

Blondie: Hit the app store and look up "Air Sharing". Great little app! Wireless. Was free before, but it was going to be a $6.99 app soon if it isn't already.

I was dead set against upgrading, but it just kinda happened... I do like it better, though. Fits the hand better, a touch lighter in weight, and I was always wanting more drive space, so the 16G is nice.

GPS is neat too. But I could still be quite happy with the original.
