I don't feel like I can convey myself properly with the smiley set we've got here. There's some important ones missing, and some are just plain extraneous.

At the very least, the commonly used ones should be on the main page, we don't even have a normal happy face or a lol there.

Who uses these ones? :shaking: :silent:

Why have these ones :thumbleft: , when we've got this better one :thumbright: ?

And well, what does this one mean? That a white dude with an afro approves of your post?

Here's a few I use all the time that I personally would like to be readily clickable. They don't have to be these exact ones, but something similar.

Surely they stressed or busted something in the regulator when applying the tint or trying to get it all the way down to the bottom of the glass.

I like their 2-day rule. I'm going to use that from now on. "All repairs come with a full 1-day warranty on parts and labor" However warranty is null and void if said system(s) are operated within the first 2 days following repair.

I have the 1984 GM service manual and I'll tell you exactly how it's wired and walk you through diagnosing/repairing it, BUT... first you have to rewrite your first post using normal, coherent english.

Sorry but it's a two way street with me, that's how I work.

I've got good rapport with some folks who make some neat things for C4s. Perhaps in the coming months I'll see if I can put something together for the benefit of this forum and it's members.

I can shrink my window pretty far without having to scroll. What is your resolution? It seems like even 800x600 would be fine.

Some threads get stretched when someone posts a wide photo, but otherwise it shouldn't happen.

And one last question (for now, anyway) - how do i get the posts to resize to my screen? I can't get them to fit and have to scroll back and forth with the slider on the bottom.

Sorry...I'm an idiot.

yeah, add that to my list of unwarranted comments. A small "smiley" adjustment. We need one that portrays sarcasm on the main post, over there to the left when posting a reply.

Most of my comments will cause me to lose friends unless I can add that big grinning smiley to them - this guy, but not spinning:

Maybe the afro guy will be the new "I'm just screwing with you" smiley...

As for the sperm, why is there a pink one? chixwithdix???

One thing I really hated about CF was the for sale section, it's so counterproductive.

Have you seen the for sale section on DC? It's foolproof and almost moderates itself. I wonder what Mojo's take would be on that since he put so much work into the broken f/s section on CF.

Probably not a big priority now, there are bigger fish to fry here, but something to consider when you're looking at other software.

I guess I haven't been here long enough (well, almost an hour, now) to consider that. Makes sense, though. Ok, no changes yet.

What's the right forum for such topics? It's not really "technical." So...C4 chat?

Nice to see you here Frank! This place is growing by the day. I'm gonna try and settle in and add some value to the forum, I hope you do the same.

Moderating there must be such a frustrating contradiction. I don't know why you bother anymore. You guys should all go on strike and demand compensation.

I posted a "thankyou and goodbye" thread over there and spent an hour trying to convey my grattitude for my fellow C4er's and even the forum itself, and irishmac deleted the thread right away before I got to check back on it. They seem to think they can just delete their problems with the click of a button. If I wasn't such a forgiving person I'd go over there and try to soil the place it and expose them for what they are.

Welcome, I'm not a real big fan of having seperate forums for each topic area, it sort of spreads the site out and some people will never see those threads.

What I think would be ideal, is to still have subforums for when you're in the mood for a certain subject, but then be able to view all the C4 threads on one page. Then people will stumble across threads they otherwise never would have seen. I'd like to think some noob could inadvertently stumble across a roadracing thread and then it peaks his/her interest.

This is especially important on a smaller forum, where those subforums could become a ghosttown otherwise. Even would-be regular users won't go in there if they aren't getting participation from others.
Well put, I agree.

So...any chance we're going to add a racing forum?

I've always thought Scaryfast was a good name. But welcome over by any handle. I think a racing section is a great idea too.

Hello everyone, I guess it's time I made my way over here as well. Once all of my trusted CF compadres got banned I had to follow so I could continue to absorb their knowledge. I'll still be freuquenting the big house as many of my racing peeps drive C5's and C6's, but I guess this is the new place for tech info.

of all the pictures, I hate the last one.

It's gonna be in the low 60s here today. Yes, you can hate me.

However, of the pictures, the S/C Olds is BAD!!!! Then there is the other extreme, the Lambo... bad in such a different way.

I love the C2s, always have. I have to say the C2 is the most popular Vette, period, and one of the most popular cars ever designed. I have not met many people who do not like the C2... and those that don't are rather strange.

Thanks guys. I bought it two or three years ago for $1000. It had no engine/tranny, the engine harness had been cut out, it was black but the paint was in terrible, terrible shape. The interior was completely trashed.

I'm glad I like it because considering the time and money I have into it I had better be buried in it!

I have decided to go with the Pioneer dvd/nav/mp3 system for my car... its the avic-d3... what I like about it besides the fact that it has all the bells and whistles is that it allows you to adjust the color of the display... so I can adjust the color to almost match the amber that is the theme in the C4....
