What would possess you to send a mixed dozen of roses with a huge bejeweled butterfly made of feathers, all with a huge bow made of real fabric.....

...and leave your name off the card???

You sure it was from a man?

Is there someone lately who's expressed interest in you...besides the guys on this forum?

He could be a very clever person and your next gift will give you a clue to his identity.

Did the card get lost? Some poor guy is sitting there thinking you are going to call any minute and will not get the call. How about calling the floral store and see if they will tell you. I get all my flower arrangements at Wal-Mart. With the money I save I buy stuff for my Vette!

This is why women suck.

You send them a gift. And they question it.

It could have been somebody who thought you were having a bad week and wanted to brighten your day and wanted to do it annonymously.

Or it could be somebody that has a "crush" on you and wants to keep you guessing with out the fear of getting the rejection phone call of I love you, but just a friend.

Just take the flowers and smile.

I don't think I'd ever leave my name off the card. I'd be afraid somebody else would get the booty I had coming to me!!
See... now any of us could take credit for the gesture!

Obviously someone you are already acquainted with, but is still trying to be clever or shy. Could be Mr. Right

Yes, Jeff, I suck and very well I might add
And likely who sent these would be the recipient of a great treat if it not that they possibly came from the Ex....

They came with a card, and a message just the name was withheld on request. And the shop is not in the business of telling either.

Ok, here's the rest...
actually I'm not questioning it except for a unique situation:
I worried that they were from the ex that just moved. He left me at Christmas for another woman, way less than me, rubbed it in my face and even put her up to harassing me, and it was all very hurtful, just after losing my family at my first holidays alone, job loss after 16 years, car fell apart, house sale fell through, my health took a shit, tons of stuff I've not mentioned. that all happened around the same time. He was a narcissistic abuser to me for about 8 years and confessed it was all 'on purpose' as I was simply trying to be forgiving and try to keep peace and make him happy. I will be in counseling for a while to get over all this mess, not to mention the other things in my life that have happened on top of it all, which he also left and did all this stuff right in the middle of.

He pulled crap at Christmas, and at New Years, and showed up at Valentine's day to say he was 'sorry' cause some counselor told him to, even bought me a heater using money the 'new whore' gave him. Would not leave me alone. Short of getting a restraining order, I've blocked the cell number and told him if he calls or tries to contact me through family or any other means he would be promptly shot and the cops would come fetch the carcass. Therefore, he has every reason to keep his name off the card, and this is the type of thing he would do just to cause me more hurt and pain. Flowers were an issue with us, as when we were together I found out he had an affair for over a year, took her on trips and sent her a shitload of flowers all the time. I never even got birthday cards, let alone flowers. Was never appreciated enough no matter how good I was to him his family, his kids, grandchild, you name it. So, yeah, it came up in arguments a time or two. Hell he never even got me a sympathy card when three of my family members died in one week, including my mother!

On the other hand, they could be from someone I dated in the past trying to 'run his traps' and see what he catches and has been sniffing around here. Really don't see him as doing something like this, afterall, that jackass hasn't even though I was worth taking out to dinner but thinks it's okay to try to get some P*$$y. Men.

Sorry, if I wanted a FWB I already have numbers for that and they are even collecting dust. Not interested.
That's the two I have it nailed down to.

If the latter person sent them, I'd at least like to thank him. Whoever sent them deserves that. It's a lot of money not to even receive a thank you. I did send the latter a message about it and made sure to mention how much I have enjoyed them, how beautiful they are, etc., just in case it was him. Tried to cover the bases so to speak.

BUT - if it was the ex - I'd just as soon take them to the nursing home or something for someone there to enjoy.

It's hard to enjoy or appreciate something you think came as a sole purpose to hurt you.
otherwise, someone deserves a great big thank you and I feel bad for not being able to let them know.

Hey VB
If recieving them put you in that kind of space, get rid of them suckers ASAP. Donation sounds just about right. You enjoyed them, now pass it along. Next time they might think twice about putting a name on it when they find out what you did.

Tommy I did enjoy them. Actually embarrassing as it is to admit, it's been years since anyone sent me something like that, so I do cherish them. I'd just like to know who sent them for the reason stated. I'd love to keep them and enjoy them. Also considered taking them to our family burial plot and spread them around there but I know there's people in hospice and in the nursing home that would love them. I did that with the flowers left the night mamma passed away. I took the arrangements in her room and took them to the nurse's desk and asked that they be distributed to those who had no loved ones or family to visit. Trust me, being alone is hurtful and receiving one of your favorite gifts truly brightens your day. Whoever made me happy deserves to be thanked, unless of course it was the ex.

Geez. Some guy just wants to make a nice gesture and is too shy to put his name on it, and this mess happens. Maybe it's a good thing he didn't put his name on it.

BTW flowers are simple. Guys only buy flowers when they want pussy. Unless you're their mother, then it's just sheer guilt.

Seriously, best I can tell it's the ex and his intent is not to make me happy, trust me. He's not shy about putting his name on it, he's afraid of the restraining order.
And if is someone besides the ex who sent them, he just might get some if I find out who he is And, there's nothing wrong with a guy tryin to get a little. After all, we girls like to have our share too

I like to have my share, believe me, however, when in the midst of serious depression, stress, anxiety and panic attacks and grieving over lost loved ones, it's not really been the on the front of my mind lately unfortunately. I"m still trying to focus on the basics like getting out of bed and getting through a whole day and night without falling apart over something. There are days right now that I really don't see the need to even get out of bed. I'm just now starting to want to get out and do things.
Depression meds and such help, but time will do the most good, along with help from my counselor. There's been a lot of progress but still a long road to walk ahead. I want to fix ME before I get tangled up with anyone else on any level. Not fair to the man to come in with lots of baggage...
