Good Sunday Morning Guru's

Well, today we will take a "dry run" on our Fall Color Tour for our Corvette Club. The Tour is about 100 miles in Central Illinois. We'll start at a covered bridge, and run along the Rock River to a great restaurant that's right on the shore of the river. We'll all go on the 10th, but I want to see if these roads are Corvette worthy.

Nice weather here today. Cool and sunny, so I am taking the Vette to the dragstrip this afternoon.

Greetings! Looks like there might be a little frost out there this morning. Colors still have a ways to go before peaking here, but I'd like to get out for a nice drive to see some before putting the Vette to bed. Not much fun on the agenda today - gonna put all the deck furniture away, etc. It is the "etc." that scares me.

Have a good one!

Good morning gang. Nice here today in N.E. Indiana. Sun is up and clear skies. Had a miserable rainy day yesterday. Fall is in the air. My favorite times of yr spring and fall.

Good Morning CGs!

Still no baby :binky: Wife said it doesn't even feel like it's time to go. He's stubborn, just like his mother

We had a good time at the wedding last night. Sammy got to dance with a slew of people and had a great time. Got home pretty late and she's still sleeping now at 9:30. That's ok.

I'd like to finish closing the pool today and I borrowed my neighbor's chainsaw to trim a few more branches off the front tree.

Hope everyone has a great day!

PS - Jake, I moved you post

Good Morning Gurus! Red eye from Germany to Ohare in Chicago, jet lag is kicking in big time. Business trip was good, I was ready to use my high school German but really wasn't needed. 98% of the people I met in Germany loved Americans, ran across a few attitudes but you'll find that anywhere. Drove a Porsche Hybrid Friday afternoon! interesting concept "sport hybrid". Autobahn is unbelieveable! costs a fortune for a drivers license in Germany, anyway the host of our group took me out for a afternoon drive, he had an Audi A8, nice! he was doing 135 mph and we were being passed as if we were standing still.
Hope everyone is well! Did Matt have an addition to his family yet?

It's friggin' cold here. It finally stopped raining, which means I have to cut the grass. The good news is that after a week of viral hell I actually feel good enough to cut the grass. The bad news is that I have to actually do it...

We did some development work on a Mercedes E500 pre-production car in Germany last year. I was following a colleague to the test track, he was driving a stock BMW 5 series, I was following in the E500 - with prototype (and untested) brakes, electronic control system, and a transmission that was acting up. My co-worker is busting down the autobahn at about 260 kph, I had to keep up as I had no idea where we were going. I looked at the engineer riding with me and asked him how confident he was in the changes he had made...and mentioned that we might get to see how good our design was real quick. Like 165 mph quick!

34 degrees here at 6:30 according to the outside temp in the Tahoe. I was on a run for breakfast from big Mac's for Ultraboy. I'm thinking Monday is going to be a rude awakening for him when he has to get back to his normal life.

I am going for a cruise in the Vette today, it's perfect weather and I need some seat time, maybe even a little GT to keep me company. Erin glad you made it back safe! Jon glad you shook the virus. Matt it is what it is try to rest up and don't get crazy with that chain saw today.

My 90 is cleaned up and ready to roll, everyone have a safe day off.

Well, we returned from our "Dry Run", and it's 200 miles from our house round trip. We found some great 2 lane highways, and the road along the Rock River was really nice. There is some construction at a few places along the way (repairing bridges) but all in all a nice drive. The whole club will do it next weekend -- weather permitting.

Great day yesterday

Despite my car not being ready, found a bunch of stuff that needed fixing when the engine was pulled, I still got to autoxcross.

Three friends lent me their cars!

Humm, just found out that if you put Tyvek coveralls in the clothes dryer, it makes your laundry room smell funny.

Hey guys....late start for me today. I did sleep in a bit and then I worked on a couple of computers today. That pretty much sums it up. We are having fantastic fall weather, a high of 68 today and light breezes....wished I'd been out doing something instead of inside working on computers, but I have to do that when I can, to keep those clients calling back. This week should be a bit better and not quite as busy. No home activities to work, but I do I a Knights of Columbus meeting Wednesday night.

Think I'll go outside for a while.
