Hang in there Case

I went to the doctor a couple weeks back and the BP was over 140!! Said I needed to de-stress! No shit!? Really doc?

Told him to prescribe me a hooker.

Of course, when that failed, I took a 7 day Carribean trip

Just got back last night and refuse to let anything fuck up my good mood!

Take some time for you. Forget the internet (there's others here to take care of that), leave the phone at home or go somewhere where there's no contact, and R&R for a while.

Take some time off my friend

I hope things get better for you Case. I went up to Lexington, KY Friday. Felt a bit down. My brother-in-law called me when I was halfway up the highway and said the appointment had cancelled. I told him I was coming up anyway, had to get out of the office. I had no intention of staying the night. Just wanted to cruise up and back in the vette.

Anyway, my cousin met us for lunch and a couple of drinks. He starts working on me to stay the night so we drive up to Indiana to a casino and visit.

Called the wife and said I would be home the next day. Didn't have a change of clothes. Just went to Walmart and boughts some jeans and necessary stuff. Picked up my cousin and off we went. We had the best conversation about his and my problems. We both lost about $700. But it was worth every $ I lost to be able to talk with someone. I feel better now than I have for a while.

My cuz and I have decided we will go spend 1 day a month somewhere just so we can visit and shoot the shit. WE have always been like brothers.

So Case, find you a good mate you can sit down with and just visit. Vent a little, laugh a little and have a couple of drinks. DON"T get drunk!! I had 2 drinks and a beer the whole night and didn't go to be until 4:00am.

Good luck and even though you don't know me like you do the others on the forum, hell we are all friends and there to help.

Keith

Hang in there, depression comes in waves, just about the time you think your gonna drown, it goes away. The trick is learning the timing when there comming , how long it lasts, and when there going. Learn, Identify, and Cope. Once you can do that you control the depression and not vicea versa. Good Luck.

We all have issues that make life harder from time to time.
Won't bore anyone with my issues but lately there are times that I think it can only go up from here. Two words I try to keep in mind is
DETEMINATION and PERSISTANCE.

I figure if I am determined to make things better and persist at it, it will happen!

Every morning that your feet touch the floor is a good day.

Every day is a fantasy for me Case. The key is starting out every monrning with a case of beer.

A joint and a BJ will also suffice, if you can't get to the store.

It is amazing how depression can hit. I have literally been depressed terribly, and at the same time sitting there thinking I have almost everything I could want and have ever wanted in life. Beautiful, great wife great kids, great friends, new house, new truck, new car, 4 wheeler, vette, great job, everything. No reason at all to be upset or depressed but yet the feeling is there.

The best way out of it for me is to go home, then go out to a bar with the vette and tell the wife I'm the DD for the night. She drinks till she looks like Jeffvet's avatar. I then take her home, dress her up in heels and a nightie and handcuffs and......
Then, when morning comes, I take Central Coaster's advice.

Depression is long gone!

Keep plugging away Case,
things WILL get better.
Back in March of '03 I had
the luck of getting a disabling
back injury. I was 54 years
old and had no intention of
retiring until I was 62. Anyway,
I was retired and spent the
next 18 months in a depression
like you wouldn't believe.
Due to inactivity I gained 120 lbs.!!
I'm still trying to get rid of the
weight. As of now I still have my
bad days but I know now that
depression will never get me
down again like it had. Keep
fighting it.

Thats good Bro, Even though they're fiberglass they don't like water much! I know where there is an 85 or 86 4+3 coupe that was dredged out of the river here, the insurance company didn't even want it! The glass is fine all those metal bits, well... It got washed off the Mon wharf parking area in one of our floods, Black on black sport seat car, VIN was too rusted for an ID. I think of it when ever I see a flood. I was really hoping that wasn't your problem!

No if that was ever going to happen i can easily get it to some very high ground no worries.

One of my mates owns this vehicle:
Resized Image

So even if there was some flood waters between me and his very high ground, we would have no problem taking the spreader assembly off the back and using it to move the car

Guess we all have times that we need to take a break from. We all have our own escape mechanism that works just for us. Mine is running. Get up at 4:30am, run 10 miles and drink four beers when we are done.

Whatever work for you. :thumbleft:
