Well I got my second vacation from there now for my comment. First one was after someone came out of nowhere and started calling me names all I said was "Right back at ya pall" Iron Chef got me then too.

CFI-EFI is a long time member and those of us who know him know he has a sardonic wit and gets to the point but he knows his stuff as good or better than anyone on this forum. For Iron Chef to come into this thread and post back to him in the exact same way is very unprofessional as well as the point Mike made about Iron Chefs own sarcastic location that basically denigrates all of the other members. I find it a little hypocritical and this is not the first time he has shot from the lip. I do not believe anyone in the thread was out of hand and needed to be banned. That is why the authors of most of the stickeys are no longer here Mods who do not know the people they police and make arbitrary decisions without warnings. A little warning goes a long way if boundries are crossed and sarcastic Mods punishing others who are sarcastic does not make sense to me. Thanks for your consideration.

Looks like CFI just threw a little dry sacrcasm out there, see a lot worse on the boards especially OT. Sad he got banned with all the no0bs there more and more waves of bad info are posted, that section really needs him. Like him or not 99% of the time he is right.

Its my opinion like any section there it takes time to get to know the different personalities over there so posts arent taken out of context and seems thats what happened.

Hopefully you guys are able to get back on board again.

I try and tread a little more carefully these days, Ive been booted 4 times and have been warned next would be my last.

Funny thing was when When Iron Chit banned me he included a note saying apparently I could not appreciate his sarcasm. Absolutely I cannot it is not his place to act like the people that he bans.

I was only booted once and they overturned it and left me back in a couple of days. I only go there now to shop the for sale section and about once a week answer a cam or head question when I see someone wanting to go to a bigger head or cam than is obviously good for their setup and goals but nobody tells them that. I ask all my questions and have all my discussions here. I like hanging my hat here.

O h Boy I just got a PM and they are willing to lift my ban if I agree to be a good boy and follow the rules.

I have made a decision some time ago to not express my opinions on how CF is managed. This is for two distinct reasons:
1. They don't listen to reason.
2. Do I really want them to figure it out?

I think the situation over there reflects how that place has been managed. The forum has been dying. It's the high horse attitudes and arrogance of the Mod Gods like Iron Chef and others that have killed that forum. Just take a look at the views/post counts, a majority of them 10 or less, half of those less than 5 views/posts. lol. Damn. I kind of take pleasure in that though. karma's a bitch.

I hope it goes down the tubes and all the good guys come here. I also hope everyone starts posting their stuff in the for sale section so it can get off the ground.

I'm with Dan. I pretty much use the FS section if I'm looking for little parts or whatnot. I will use the search function for older stuff if I have a question. The current stuff has a lot of misinformation in it.

I kinda grew up in the CF tech & dragracing sections, so I don't really have anything negative to say about them or there moderating techniques. But, that is probably because I don't spend much time there anymore either..... I have no idea who anybody is anymore. What happened to Mr. Mojo (red lt1 C4) as a moderator over there.... he was always cool and relaxed as a mod I thought. And is Troy still running the forum or did that change ? He seemed like a decent guy who knew what he was doing I guess....

I have no idea who guys like Ironchef are..... I'm not sure, but I don't recall ever seeing that name in the old days... or at least not in the C4 or dragracing sections.

Mojo got his moderator status pulled, Troy sold the forum last year to Internet Brands, savewave and cor99vette still run the place.

I don't recognize any of the moderators anymore. Unfortunately none of them seem to be C4 owners or otherwise active in those forums except to pound the gavel.

Well come to find out the guy who actually attacked Iron Chef(aircraft engineer?) did not get booted just me did CFI get booted or not? I must have friends in high places watchin' me. It is getting tiring over there unfortunately C4's are getting so cheap any moron can own one and they all seem to show up there.Too bad most of them can't read,write or work on a car. JK of course.

As far as the mods go none own a C4 and look to be shine and show guys to me. Iron Chef has his Lloyd Floormats in his mod list

Pretty much everything said here is true and accurate. I can't find any faults in the facts as stated.

One important thing - CF mods cannot ban you for something said over here. They may snoop (which I find is the sincerest form of flattery), but they can't bust. What they CAN do (and I am sure they do this) is mark you for a quick death. If they don't like something said here, they will use it to find fault (or sin, haven't figured out their approach) in whatever you say. Then add it all up and turn it into a banning.

The stickies are a sore subject with me, but the upside is that everyone who looks int here is confronted with the reality that the OP is gone... and asks why.

I wish I had destroyed the text... that would have fixed them.

So my C4 Tech and RPO FAQ are still there... as is my C4 Audio FAQ.

It does not make me happy...

Thank you. Your link got me to the "Your Cookies Have Been Cleared" point. I'm not so worried about PMs in my box as I am wondering how anyone could receive a PM, as Redeasysport did, once they are banned. They must have lifted his ban, then left him the PM.
