I am disgraced at how Americans are acting towards the President because he is black. People say we are turning into a dictatorship, capitolism, socialism, loosing our rights, and other BS. First off, Obama did not FIRE the CEO of GM, he asked him to step down. I have also gotten alot of forwarded messages on Yahoo, AIM, my personal cell phone text messaging, myspace, and facebook stupid immature and pathetic comments such as: Attention white people, orientation at 7:00 am in the cottonfields. I am not saying anyone here is doing it. Its just in general.
We all have the right to express our opinions. Not because of the constitution but a god given right to free speech and freedom! That being said, some people need to grow up and stop being so damn racist. Atleast he is trying to clean up Bushes screw ups. Atleast he is trying to make good. Give the man a chance. He is black. So what, stop this bullcrap about Obama ruining our country. I am so sick of hearing racist garbage and rumours and hes controlling everyone and blah blah blah. If you don't like it, go move to Mexico...Go to CF Political section and post a thread about obama and you will be torn to shreds....I think everyone needs to back off the man and let him do his job. The other bafoons running couldn't find their way out of a wet paper bag. That is all...... |

His mom is white, dad is black... that would make him....The President. Race is not an issue to intelligent and well informed people. Politically he is a socialist. He has made that very clear by words and actions. "He is trying hard, he has good intentions", the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Ah politics, the old adage of "Believe nothing you see and only half what you hear" holds true for everyone. McCain/Obama, different sides to the same coin, except for the latest speech Obama gave in Europe, I don't think things would be much different, sadly. Everyone can argue till their blue in the face (and they usually do) about who's right and who's wrong, only time will tell. I am old school Republican and I hope the next go 'round we have someone with guts and gonads to stand strong, man-up as it the saying goes. I did not vote for Obama or McCain, I voted third party for the first time in my life. I am giving him a chance, I hope we are all happier and healthier for it. Hey, I've been wrong before, and divorce court solved that problem. Smile, don't let it get you down. |

I would like to add that the people that I come into contact willfully are educated people both white and black. They do not talk trash. I think everyone here is well educated enough and no trash talking on here. At CF and in public and some of the bafoons that I have made associates with talk about race and how white people are going to the cottonfields and that KFC is going to be the only restraunt. Geez, it's just so stupid.

Just for the record...
I'm a 48 year old white ex-Special Forces multiple-gun owning Republican. I voted Dem for the first time since 1978 last year, and only missed one election in 1984 when I was stuck in Honduras/Nicaragua. Forgot to do an absentee because we left in kind of a hurry, but uncle Ronnie didn't need my help anyway. I'm pretty pleased with the way things are turning out so far. Anyone bemoaning imagined abuses of the Constitution or Bill of Rights by President Obama's administration, or the Dems new "steamroller" has obviously NOT been paying attention AT ALL since 2000. Now THAT was disgusting! The House and Senate republicans and their complete lack of direction are comical. Their shrinking minority and "The sky is falling" mentality make them look even more so. To me this thread is sickening. Look at the stuff he is trying to do with weapons...he is trying to basically BAN owning a gun. Sure he is beating around the bush to do it but is all the same. Look at the budget, the guy dont have a clue about it. Making us go further in debt to help us "grow". His plan is clearly thrown together and there is no way that increasing spending is going help our nation. My biggest concern with that is we took a tax cut but we are spending MORE...ALOT MORE! This dont throw any red flags to anyone else but me? Sure there are tons more issues out there than this but these are the most recent that I dont like.
I think that people are using the race card to discribe why people dont like obama. I dont think there is a race issue, not like what your talking about. What do you base this off of anyway? News...yeah thats a joke. |

Two old friends were just about to tee off at the first hole of their local golf course when a guy carrying a golf bag called out to them, "Do you mind if I join you? My partner didn't turn up."

So he picked up the rifle and looked through the sight in the direction of his house. "Yeah, I can see my house all right. This sight is fantastic. I can see right in the window. Wow, I can see my wife in the bedroom. Ha Ha, I can see she's naked!! Wait a minute, that's my neighbor in there with her...... He's naked, too!!! THE BITCH!" He turned to the hitman, "How much do you charge for a hit?" "I'll do a flat rate, for you, one thousand dollars every time I pull the trigger." "Can you do two for me now?" "Sure, what do you want?" "First, shoot my wife, she's always been mouthy, so shoot her in the mouth." "Then the neighbor, he's a friend of mine, so just shoot his dick off to teach him a lesson." The hitman took the rifle and took aim, standing perfectly still for a few minutes. "Are you going to do it or not?" said the friend mpatiently. "Just be patient," said the hitman calmly, "I think I can save you a grand here....." |

Amazing where this thread went.
My opinion: Don't hate Bush or his decisions, he did very good IMO with the decisions he had to make. Hind sight is 20/20 and even looking back I don't think he did that bad. Could have gotten out of Iraq sooner, IMO. Spent too much money on other countries that could have been spent on ours. Not perfect, but nobody is. I'm tired of hearing Obama making it sound like Bush ruined everything in the country, or that the things that got ruined were all Bush's fault. We do have more than 1 guy that has to agree to something for it to pass, or not pass. Don't hate Obama for what he is trying to do or what he is doing just yet. I disagree with him bailing this much money into the banking system, or bailing out auto manufacturers before they claim bankruptcy and break the union contracts that contributed to putting them in the situation they are in, but something needs done to help the economy. I think much of congress agrees that some major things need to happen and they are willing to "let him try" by passing things now that in retrospect they may have shot down, but I think they will scale back soon on agreeing with him if major recovery signs don't soon surface. I think gun laws should stay the way they are, they just need enforced better. Minor changes could be made (as could be with many things) but this country is a world leader and we have become so for a reason. So, IMO, we don't need to make major wholesale changes to anything. "Don't change the whole engine because the temp sensor and a fuel injector are malfunctioning". In summary, I think Bush did good. I'm giving Obama a chance. I could care less what color anybody is. I am relying on the rest of the people in Washington to shoot down the worst of Obama's ideas and to push through the best. I feel they don't know exactly what to do with many issues right now with the economy and therefore will allow more shit to slide that we would not, but I think they will represent us pretty well in their decisions on long term issues such as gun control. Agree with me or not, I don't care. |
