I just sit up a lawn chair and watch the neighbors try to burn the neighborhood down.

We're going out to our friend's farm house, burning a few firecrackers and BBQing some meat. Oh and we won't forget a few cold beers.

Yea, Brian.
Right Basket, every one else celibrates. Beside, I quit counting when I was 26, when someone asks me how old I am, I have to do the math. I just don't care what my age is. I still think like an eighteen yearold ( screwed up ).

I can probably think of one "honey do" thing you won't mind doing Mike.

I am taking it back to the local dragstrip Friday evening for some runs and fun. I thought about going to Taladega Super Speedway Saturday and doing some laps in the Vettes4Vets event but doubt I will go.

Not much for me, go watch a parade, play with the grandkids, go eat some good BBQ that one of my SIL will do. And watch the neighbors blow up their money. Johnny, that's so cool, have a good time. Bill, everyone in America celebrates your birthday! Happy Birthday!

A friend has a big party every year at his place on a lake. I may drag along my keyboard this time - they usually have some live music going.

Replacing brakes on my boys truck, better make sure somebody is open before I tear it down. Lawn work, and then chill with a beer at my neighbors pool. Best investment he made, at least I think, hehe.

Way cool, Johnny! I hope you have a great visit.

Bill, I'm with you on birthdays. Don't celebrate em. And have to do the math when asked. Lessee.... 69...79,89,99... Uh oh! The big FOUR-OH is this year!

I'm betting I will still think farts, tits and cars are great after October 24th.

Anyone else have plans for the holiday?

All my neighbors LOVE their fireworks! For a week before, and two weeks after any holiday, even Christmas, there are little pops and spits to be heard in the neighborhood. Crazy.

We used to do "Pop Bottle Rocket Warfare" in the streets of Pueblo. Yes, you can hold bottle rockets in your hand and shoot them at a guy 1/2 block away. And yes, we were insane.

We also did it in cars on the interstate thru Pueblo. If you light a bottle rocket & hold it out the car window, it will keep pace with the "chase" car for a few seconds, then take off and arc up of the car you're chasing before it goes off.

We used to have bottle rocket wars - we made pistols out of conduit, and mounted canisters to them to hold the ammo.

Gee - a day off..... What's that?

I'm spending the weekend working numbers on a company wide phone system replacement....

NOTE TO SELF: Get a LIFE!

Oh well - this means that all of you are required to party and have at least 1 for me - I'll expect a full report on Monday on how much fun I had....

You have to always push the limits then, after you go over the limit you get free time to push even harder.

After I was upside down at 100 mph in my formula car and landed on my helmit, all my crashes have been much easier.
Expensine though.

After playing soccer on motorcycles, racing at nite in 500 mile desert races and falling off 750s on the mile flat tracks, falling off he bike around the house doesn't seem so bad.
I did run the Pkie's Peak Hillclimb without falling off the mountain though.

Get your lumps and then go for it.

I've love to run Pike Peak one day.

Just driving up in was pretty cool

Should have seen the looks on people when they 1st heard then saw a Corvette coming down the mountain.

Cool, my first trip up was in an Austin Healey 3000, in the back seat, hanging over the rollbar, in a tee shirt. I learned about temp. differences at altitude that day.

The road looks much wider when you're racing up it on two wheels.

There's another race like this in Leadville, Colorado that makes Pikes Peak look like a freeway. The Leadville Silver Run is really scary.

I think all the UFOs hang out closer to Alamosa than Colorado Springs, anyway. At least in Colorado.
