With all of the snow falling, I hope all of the Vette's are tucked away in a warm garage. So, post a picture of your winter vehicle. Here's mine.

I have a pic of it in the header for our website. 2004 F250 Power Stroke, 4x4 Lifted with a 6inch SuperLift. Looks slightly different then the pic, now has black wheels w/ polished lip like my vette, a chrome grill/brush gaurd and the extenable towing mirrors.. No problems being stuck in the snow, and no problem pulling the 24ft Car Hauler.. Here is a link to a more recent pic on facebook... Another Pic on Face Book |

When I lived in Delaware, my Vette was my year rounder. The only thing was, if it DID snow, I was ok for about 5"... after that, I drove Mom's car... She had an Acura CL at the time I had the Vette.

I drive a 1998 Dodge Durango.
Here are some older pics. It now has different rims and tires, but it's basically the same truck, and it's never left me stuck in the bad weather. Trust me, I've tried. 2010 Maxima. The heated steering wheel is one of mankind's greatest inventions. If the weather is real nasty, we take my wife's '03 Jeep Liberty. She only drives a couple miles to work, so it has a whopping 36K on it after 8+ years.

Several 4X4 Chevy pickups to choose from which we own for the business. The only non 4 wheel drive I own is the Vette. It is also my best milage vehicle.

My DD is an '03 Dakota 2WD w/o ABS - driving that in our snowy hills can be adventureous.
My wife's DD is an '03 PT Cruiser, which we usually take out when the conditions are questionable. |

1989 Chevy S-10 4x4. Bought it new in 89. 4.3V-6 removed a couple of summers ago and replaced it with a ZZ 4 GM performance engine, rebuilt the 700R with a Monster Trans Kit and added a Western Snow Plow. Runs great! looks like a tank, its the kind of vehicle no one wants to park next to at the mall. Here at school its been hit by students, beverage trucks and school corp service trucks and its parked outside my shop doors.
Call it a beater, cash for clunkers reject, students want to take up a collection for me to buy a new truck No heated seats, steering wheel or power seats, just a "snow movin little bitch " and it sounds fanastic. |

Mine is a 2003 S-10 ZR2. My favorite option is the limited slip rear. The back up is the recently added 1996 Jimmy 4x4.

Seriously? A heater steering wheel? I was thinking that would be an awesome option to compliment the heated seats in the Jetta this morning! |

My buddy Scott bought one of those new Maximas. He removed all the Nissan badging...he claims because he doesn't want people knowing what it is. Maybe like a mysterious black car? Anyway, he hates when I give him a hard time by always calling it an Altima. He gets kinda pissed. LOL. Anyway last weekend, I guess he ordered and installed a Nismo badge. I didn't even bother explaining why that badge didn't belong on that car. |

I so like it when the 370z guys put the fairlady logos on, and the G37 guys put Skyline logos on.
If I was to ever get the last version of the GTO, I would rebody it as the Holden. Really mess with ppls heads! |

We get ice and black ice. The only problem I have in the truck is ice on a hill when stopped. An inch of ice in the road, yea, I spin a bit but over 15 mph no problem. 6 inches of snow on the ice, no problem. But, 12 inches of new powder is a blast, time to rock. If it would get real bad, I can throw cable chains on in 5 min. I've had this one wheeler for 5 years and have had the cables on once and I drive in the show all the time. |

My Corvette is my daily driver as I live in San Francisco and generaly we don't get snow here. The wife has 2 Nissan's we also drive, Pickup and Pathfinder. Since these are the wifes Nissan's guess who insists on driving, unless I am working on them? Kinda scarry (her driving) at times but at least she hasn't had hit & run driver's tag her.
I just recently spent 12 hours detailing the Nissan's to car show perfection and a day later it rains like crazy. At least I have my Corvette in the garage along with my stepsons '96 Mustang GT while he is away at college. At any rate here is a winter shot of a Corvette owner taking his Christmas Tree home... and a poor women stuck in the snow... |

My son has an 04 Maxima. I drive an 08 Acura TL. I agree with you, that heated steering wheel is incredible. I don't like wearing gloves, and if I'd have found the right Maxima when I was looking, I'd have bought it over the TL, just for the heated wheel!! My son drove the TL and said it's the bizzaro version of the Maxima. Sport coupe feel, but the TL is a little more closed in. The TL has good low end acceleration, but at highway speeds, only ok. The Maxima, has ok low end acceleration, but will really go at higher speeds. |
