I killed a brand new set of lower arm polys in one day at the strip ( 25 runs @1.7X )
When installing them, the steel inner liner was a stiff hand push in, after the day at the track the liner fell out when I took the arms off
You could see the inner hole in bush was deformed

Pure physics
The lower control arm /chamber arm bushes are designed to move in a vertical plane while the outer end of the arm is moving in a arc as the spindle moves through it's travel = binding

Ditto the trailing arms
Pull the dog bones out of any hi mileage C4 and see how flogged out the stock rear bushes are due to the side loading they get as the spindle moves up and down in a arc
I have pulled some where there is almost no bush left on the inside of the dog bone; it is all mushroomed out and the steel liner is skewed to one side

Is the only decent intake comparison around
Not perfect because the cam was not optimized for each intake ( cam used better suited to short runner intakes ) but shows the Perf attributes of the differing intake types if you compare the graphs

None of the long runner style intakes( even aftermarket big tube versions ) run big revs but make impressive bottom end torque

White Racing have the correct part # VSS listed but state it is for '90+ cars which had 4000 pulse VSS; not 2000 pulse like earlier TPI cars

I removed mine , mounted the trans cooler w/ fan in it's place and used the old pusher fan wiring / relay as a supply
I have one of these Spal switches on the cooler line to operate the cooler fan

If you have a fan can mount cooler anywhere as you are not reliant on air flow.
Some have mounted cooler horizontal at rear behind diff

With the restricted underhood space of a C4, you are only going to get hot air that has past through the radiator to the filter which may negate any benefits from a better flowing filter

On a EFI with a correctly working pump , the moment pump starts it will remove any vapor via the bypass back to the tank

No ECM control of fan on '84 so possibly A/c pressure switch faulty if other items mentioned above check out

The build sheet shows both the G44 and the G92. Both are listed as 3.07's. I am confused.

Perfect sense.
GM RPO G92 denotes that a non base optional "performance" ratio" ,what ever it may be has been installed .
Is is not a identifier of the actual ratio
In the case of auto C4's ; 3.07 was the only optional ratio available so G92 is commonly confused as being for that ratio. In other GM lines there may be more than one G92 option ratio available
And for the pedantic out;
there only other G92 C4 ratio was the 3.31 available in '84 on the 4+3 cars .410 had this option

On a TPI ,vac supply to check valve comes from one of the ports on pass side rear of plenum (as shown in diagram below )
Rear line from check valve goes to plastic HVAC line in firewall harness;
rubber hose on side port of valve goes to the T feeding cruise then the vac line continues along inner wheel well to vac ball.
Rubber line through firewall for cruise release is seperate item as noted above by 95vette

Also note.
There a fuse in a holder screwed to the blower housing. If this blows it can have same effect

The ECM does tell the engine what rpm to idle at in gear,

There is a switch on the auto shifter that tells the PCM if car is in N/P.

Engine runs like crap because the computer won't give any timing advance over 1500

What surprised me, was that the fp relay only energizes for "exactly" 2 seconds on start-up, then turns off.....by most accounts, it should stay-on.....I know from reading others, it stays on, and the oil pressure switch is then just a back-up..... but, its not the way it works on my 85.... the Oil pressure swtich is actually the main source of power for the fuel pump..... go figure. I have two different 85 ecm's, they both work the same.
I assume nobody is wrong and its just year specific with the way they work or maybe even month specific (who knows, maybe GM swapped circuits in the middle of the year ?) ..

Strange
What you describe is correct operation for all L98 engines; the ECM primes the pump for 2 sec then switches off.
When the OP switch closes @ 4psi it is supposed to power up the pump directly and at the same time the ECM sees the voltage ( from the pump line )supplied to connection at #17 showing OP is over 4psi
When ECM sees that signal and the pulse from the dist the ECM then runs the relay.
As you note the OP switch is supposed to enable you to start ( with extra cranking )and run the pump should the relay fail

From L98 Start Sequence
ECM Reaction:
If the ECM sees oil pressure greater than 4 PSI and the reference pulses from the distributor, it will energize the injector drivers which will begin pulsing the injectors on for 4 ms (milliseconds) periods. The ECM will also pull in the fuel pump relay in effect paralleling it electrically with the oil pressure switch.

In all cases the rim sits over the caliper so caliper clearance problems are only solved by going to bigger dia rim
