Hi, I just wanted to say hi.
My first post.
I have been over Corvette Forum for the last 3 years. We lost some good members at Corvette Forum, I thought I would come over here and see what was going on.

If I had one of these I wouldn't have enough head room in my C4.

So........Hi everyone.

Hey CC.

My TKO 500 is still doing fine.

There is a transmission "advise void" on the other side.

Glad I figured out where you guys are.

I need reliable advise from time to time.

Oh yea.....I put a miniram on mine since last time I talked to you.

I'm over here as well, as far as trans stuff, I was trying to get a trans tech section over there for years. They wouldn't go for it.

It's amazing how many PM's I get over there still asking me to do stuff when I can't anymore.

I probably would have spent alot of time there. Sounds like it was a good idea. Suprised they never did it.

I see the CF yanked my thread about locating Central Coaster. There were just honest comments in the thread. and they pulled it...WTF???

Start a thread asking where it disappeared to and see what answer you get.

That's a bad sign when the guys in charge can't stand behind their own actions.

I think we will have many more, people on the way over here.
When this forum gets enough members, to always have a few on at any given time, then this forum might put CF under.

CF doesn't want C4 owners anyway.

I don't understand why but the general sections of that site are filled with people, many that don't even own a Corvette, bashing the C4 owners.

There was a small window of time before the C5's shipped just after I bought my car. I never felt superior to those people that owned older Corvettes and I certainly didn't insult them. Back then, there was no CF. The online community was really the alt.autos.corvette newsgroup. With only one or two trolls as exceptions it was a place where owners could share expiriences. But that is what I remember most about the first few years that I had my car, the community. I remember dyno/mod events and spur of the moment dinners out etc. The guys who showed up with 1974's in primer were as welcomed as the ZR1s sporting all the Zaino and Mother's polish.

I think the C5 brought in a group of people that never before considered owning a Corvette and weren't "car guys". Maybe I'm just getting older. Maybe it's just a sign of the times. But it sure seems like that close knit feeling is gone. I won't say that I'm never going back to CF for anything but I just took it off my "favorites".

I'm one of those who had been a Corvette Forum member for many, many years.

I cancelled my membership last year because of their policies -banning members and removing posts - and haven't been back since. The only reason I'd ever log back on to that Forum is to use the PARTS FOR SALE board. It's turned into an AWFUL Forum.

Welcome aboard

I was a long time member and lifetime supporter...since I was banned and apparently for no reason (since no one had the balls to pm me;) ), I feel I'm being "deprived" of my rights under the purchase.

Gotta a little somethin' somethin' in the works

This ought to get good

Very well said. Like I said a while back, if you're not using gojo it ain't a mod....

The C5s I think definately bought in a different kind of Vette owner. IMO, the C4 is really a crossover. The end of an era with the thumpy, loud, hot rodish Corvette always was, with the technology (for it's time) that was light years ahead of what ever was out there. It had handling and power, again for it's time.

The C5/6 are nice cars, but they lost some of the "vette" that I grew up with. I kinda like the smell of gas and oily rags and damaging my hands working on the car.
