Thanks Tommy, I am glad I'm not the only one that does that. The best sightings I have had are in LA. Holy cow! Look at that over there, (hard braking and turning across 3 lanes to go back to see the Lambo) Went to a Ferrari and Lambo dealer when out there once. Most impresive. We always act like rubes with a lot of shucks and golley's when we go into places like that just to see how bad they can treat us. Of course we are rubes so it isn't hard for us to act that way.

Tommy how did you get that picture of me? Phone started ringing this morning with farmers wanting to know about their seed and chemical and fertilizers. So we are off and running early.
Don sorry about the commute and don't forget, anger is a choice. TB now we know why plumbers can charge what they do and we just write the checks. Brad glad you are getting the stuff together for your upgrade. I have heard a rumor that my other header should be here by the end of the week. I am not betting any money on it. Let's roll guru's!

Good Sunday to you. My son had a bunch of his rowdy freinds over last night and they were still going on the vid games at 3:30 this morning. I had to tell them enough already. Then Ultrawoman got sick and so that kept us up and I finally got back to sleep at 5:00 this am. Nuts!
Sorry to see the Guru lucky streak fizzle, but like my Dad used to say, if you get bucked off you gotta get right back on. Sooo you need to head back today and hit it again.  Well I got the fuel pump job done with Matts help. I printed out his how to with pics and had them with me while I did it. Mine was the original pump I think since it came apart hard and at one time the pump had gotten hot enough to melt the plastic where the wires plug in. Yikes! It was running with full pressure when I shut it off after my Dyno runs. My wiring was different then Matts showed and that was an issue but I hope to have it fixed. You can look at the post I made yesterday for more detail. Got church in a bit so gotta go. Tee Bee you have a good day and Don just order the Banski's you deserve it and it's only money. I am the Justifier! Go forth and multiply my Guru's!

I got it reinstalled but can't try it out until I get my other header on. Your pics were a big help but the wiring is not the same. RaceTronix sent no instructions but the only issue was the one wire. Thanks for the help. I am glad I switched them out after looking at the old pump.

Matt the wiring is not like yours at all. 90 must have been a change and they put a new harness in my kit. It all worked ok except for the issue with the purple fuel guage wire or sensor wire. You can see how I fixed it.

I went ahead and fixed it this way.
 Here is the damage to the original pump. I can't believe it was still working   It that isn't going to work let me know.

I have always said that the realtor's have the advantage of knowing both sides of the transactions. So they can play each side the way the want. I try not to use them if at all possible. Hope that works out in your favor Tommy and the seller is ok with the deal.

I am in the middle of putting in a new Racetronix Walbro fuel pump with one of their kits for the C4. Plug and play my ass.
My wiring original wiring harness has some toasted areas and even a spot that looks like it melted a bit on the lower plug in. I have a new harness in the kit but my question is the purple wire that goes to the fuel sensor. I have a purple wire on the harness but the original wire is riveted to the sensor. If I could get the original purple wire our of the top plug and get the new wire out of the new top plug I could reuse the original purple wire. Or am I going to have to solder my new wire to the old one to get the ends to all work out? That's a good question for the guru's. Man that's quite a list Don. I think I would have that on my what to do this month list. Of course we take our time out here not like you type A easterners.
Just work on your Vette, that will give you the greatest pleasure. I will finish cleaning the bathroom that I started last week and begin to think about the front porch repair. Can't find the material I need. I found the material it just comes in a strange color that is not going to work. More on that project when I get into it. Maybe next month. If only TeeBee lived a little closer to us...... I have a delivery this morning and then I want to put in my new fuel pump on the 90. I will have to have Matts pictures close so I don't screw up. Daughter #2 left yesterday for California to visit daughter #1. My wife had to tell her no more tatoos. Seems last time she went to California she came back with some tatts, much to her mothers displeasure. I stayed out of it. Enjoy the day Guru's.

They have a day here in the spring where all the FFA boys (future farmers of America) drive their families best tractors to school and line them all up in the back row. Most are in the 150K range money wise. We used to do that with muscle cars back in the day.
That's what we do for fun out here!

Friday lots to do. Deliver the dog to it's personal groomer then go tape the wife's kindergarten program, then do all my regular work. Nuts! almost forgot it's garbage day. I am ready for the weekend.
Still no header so I guess I will make another call to see what excuse they have now. Honestly! Tommy have a productive day, Brad have fun getting your car home. Matt I have some justifications for you, a whole list of reasons why you need those parts. I mean you give, and you give, never expecting anything in return. I think if you tell your wife that more horsepower will make you a much more sensitive and feeeeling type of guy, you'll get the green light on it.

Nice! All the lists are funny and have some truth to them. I always got a laugh out of Jeff Foxworthy when he was talking about getting real old and in a wheelchair at the old folks home. When folks will ask him if he needs anything he will be thinking, somebody bring me a cold beer and show me something nekked. Have a safe day guys!

Wow, there is a lot of stuff to look at there. I watched almost all of them. I used to really like Rat Patrol. Good post.

In Montana where we lived there was a Last Man's club of WW1 vets which both my Grandfathers were in. There was a bottle of French Cognac brought over after the war that the last 5 were supposed to share. We knew the last survivor he lived to be almost 100 but he has been gone for awhile.
I don't think they ever opened it. It will be awhile but the WWII vets are going fast now. Soon it will be the Viet Nam guys. Which would be our generation. Nuts! Get busy living or get busy dying.

Jeff as long as you can get the class approved by your college you can take it anywhere. My girls took summer classes from other schools that they could get into after running into the same thing you are. It worked for them anyway.

So in the older cars were the belt ran the fan the fan would always run but it would kick on when the temp got over 180 if that was where the thermostat opened. My assumption in the old days was the thermostat opens at 180 then the car would work to maintain that 180 temp. No computers back then so what told the fan to kick in or just freewheel as the work load on the engine changed.
The fans and thermostat are still a big part of the equation but the computer tells the fan when to run and when not to and for how long, right? The thermostat opens at 180 or 195 and the fan would have to be set to maintain that temp is what you guys are saying.
