Replacing brakes on my boys truck, better make sure somebody is open before I tear it down. Lawn work, and then chill with a beer at my neighbors pool. Best investment he made, at least I think, hehe.

I got all of y'all beat. I drive for UPS and all day long I deal with stupid, careless, cell phone junkies who CAN NOT maintain a constant speed, stay centered in their lane, use their turn signals, and go when the light changes. They haul ass past me only to turn right in front of me. ( no signal, their on the phone ). Pull out in front of me going pokey slow so I have to hit my brakes to keep from running them over. AND my favorite, rolling thru a stop sign to stop me from getting in front of them. I've got 19 years safe driving and every day some dumb ass tries to keep me from making it to 20. I promise to myself everyday when I start my truck, I will not slow you down, I will stop at every stop sign, I will go when its my turn, I will not set at a light oblivious to my surroundings. I stay alert and everybody stays ALIVE. :ace: I'll climb down now.

Mine looks like new after 4 years.

I like this one ! Mine is just a Wally world special. It actually had a felt trim, which over time deteriorated and caused a mess until I rubbed it all off.

It is all over. Direct driver eye level thru to the passenger side. I can wipe my thumb pad across it to remove it. But it comes back. Maybe if I didn't breath it wouldn't fog. LOL

Maybe it isn't so much what you're using to clean the window, as much as it is the stuff you use to clean the dash? Maybe the chemicals are leaving the dash pad during the heat of the day and depositing on your glass.

The Stoners doesn't have detergent so its not suppose to leave a film. I use a little california duster on the dash, don't put any cleaner on it. Im tempted to try some anti fogging junk, cause the defrost vent might be leaking cold air and contributing.

I sweat all day driving my package car around in the heat. The sun shade does a great job keeping the leather seat from sticking to my back on the way home. I highly recommend one.

Does anyboby have the same problem ? I can use a Windex type cleaner twice. Then use Stoners for the final wipe and I'll be damned the window forms a hazy film again the very next day. I normally drive home into the setting sun and its more noticable at that point. I just want a clear windshield. Any suggestions ?

Its pretty much stock 98. Once I got used to the accelerator it seemed alot more peppier. I'm sure a six speed in that car ould of been a different story.

My last weekday of vacation today, haven't done anything exciting all week. So I say this Friday kinda sucks, oh well thats life. Hey Tom, I watched all the storms on my laptop last night, good to see your personal domain came out OK. I have family in Richfield and Satanta and I always watch the weather up there.

Damn I noticed the AC wasn't cooling very good. So I went to pull the high pressure side cap off and POP !!! it went flying somewhere never to be found. CRAP !! At that point I noticed that the shrader valve is leaking, I put my finger over it and I feel pressure building. So I lost all his coolant driving it around looking for a replacement cap. I knew I should have let it set all week. So as a temp fix I got my quick disconnect from my manifold gauges (its capped off) on it, till I find a replacement cap or he gets the shrader replaced. Does anyone know if the cap that came off is similar to quick disconnect ? Only thing Autozone has is a cap just sets on the fitting.

Ok I drove it quite a bit today. Punched it a few times, took some hard turns and actually got it sideways out of a turn. It was all in the timing. It seemed different this time. The door thing, well its no different than a deteriating C4 door, the panels are loose and makes it seem flimsy. I love the C5 seats, more room and far more relaxing than my sport seats. I still like mine more.

I get to drive it again tomorrow (my buddy is out of town, I'm vette setting). I will keep an open mind when crusing around town. It does look nice, bright red, eye catcher for sure. I like the seats, more room for my fat ass. The seat controls where hard to find because the panel had fallen off and is hanging precariously from its mounting bracket. Maybe a better understanding of this machine tomorrow.

Off this week, so I can post during the day and not at 1000 pm as usual. Played golf today, actually 27 holes, and sucked at it. No matter how hard I practice I don't get any better. My 17 year old kicked my butt, and he doesn't practice. Hell he doesn't even wake up till the last minute. I get up, shower, stretch, sun block up, flownase, advil, diet coke, load his stuff to save time. I'm on the tee box ready to go and my boy has "bed head" and yawning and complaining about it being too early (1000 am) . Ahh father son bonding, its great.

I get those kind of calls all the time. I love my mom, but come on. When she comes over she brings crap she doesn't want anymore, I mean junk. I got old hacked up golf balls, old nick nats my wife won't even want. She brought over all these old bed spreads and place mats and I kept those. Great for soaking up oil spills and covering exposed wheel hubs and engine parts. She thinks they are on our bed. Even stuff I gave her as a kid (from field trips, etc.) and she doesn't remember where they came from. Most of everything goes in the trash. Calls me over to get broken stuff (of course I don't know it till I get there). I guess thats just life.

Im sure a modified C5 would be a bit more impressive. My door seems too heavy compared to this car. No big deal, I have driven a C6 and I was in awe. Of course my buddy was going "punch it" the whole time.LOL I would also love to drive a ZR-1. Of course I can't drive my C4 worth a crap, missing the shift, clutching incorrectly, but I have fun trying. I can still scare the whajeebees out of the family.

Lets start from opening the door. It felt lite and actually I thought it was going to fall off. I put some luggage in the back and the hatch felt flimsy as well. Its an automatic and it didn't push me back into my seat like my 6 speed does. Couldn't get it squirrelly around any turn ! Of course it's not my car so I didn't push it to hard. He's always working on it and I don't want to spend my money on his vette. It does ride smoother and is roomier than mine, but my L98 just seamed peppier than his. Just thought I would share.

Hey guys, my little work truck is a 92 toyota. (I know,, a ricer.) Can't drive the vette all the time. I went to remove the cap on the schrader valve to check the AC pressure and it immediately started bellowing freon, that isn't right is it ? I screwed it back on and left it, for now. Is schrader core replacement only possible after the freon has been recovered ?

Verizon offers just the FIOS. We got it for my daughter at school. There was a set up charge because of some equipment they had to install in her closet. It's around 40 bucks a month. Better then the crappy Charter service she once had.

I have the 2000 Tacoma, with the same issue. Its rusting point was around the frame near the leaf spring mounts. Haven't seen it on mine yet. Keeping an eye on it. They have extended my warranty to cover it.

Amsoil in all my vehicles. Good stuff. Even have the manual transmission fluid. If you become a prefered customer you can buy it online. My only gripe is a yearly membership fee. If you don't keep up with it annually, its like the oil cost more when you order it.

Well they can brag about how burly they are for wiping with pine cones, but really it's nothing to be proud of.

I bet you blow your nose with printer paper too.

I do use paper towels for my nose, the pretty puffy stuff, I blow thru it in one blast. I then triple it up. Of course, the pretty box matches our decor.

I am native american, my grandma (god rest her soul) always said " we should have never let them off the boat" and "Custer had it coming". I smile when I think of all the remarks my family makes. I'm proud of my roots and I am happy with the present state of things.

Apparently we are spoiled here in the US. Europe uses the recycled single ply paper, and no one complains (so they say). The two bear commercial (can't remember the brand) makes me want to wipe my butt on the TV. I CAN'T STAND IT !!! I was a big hunter in my younger days and used everything but poison ivy.

I have talked to Bill Boudreau and he said the Valvoline synthetic brake fluid is fine. Thats what I use. Hell, the GM slaves are junk. If the backward seal doesn't fail, the fluid leaks thru the seam of slave bell housing. Why is GM worried about what fluid goes in their slave ? Ahh maybe with their fluid it will last a couple of months longer. Yeah right..

I have a MAC, it's usually a drag and drop and reinstall. Windows are far more complicated, I never have understood why it takes so many steps to fix stuff. Good luck..

Did you get it really hot before you took it in ? They were having trouble logging onto the emissions website and my car sat (not running). When they got finally online it failed. I was bummed, read on a forum to get it hot and when I went back to another station, they too were having trouble logging on, but he let the car run the whole time and it passed. He told me that was the trick to get it to pass. Just a thought.

Damn, I just watched the whole thing. My party wasn't quite that exciting, but I did have a hangover.
