That sucks. I wish Jim a speedy and complete recovery.
My father in law has been suffering from the effects of a stroke. He is making great progress, but sometime the road to recovery is long but steady..

I wish him well. The Corvette community wouldn't be the same without him around to belittle newbies and well, everyone else that doesn't deserve it.

Sorry to hear that. Despite any bickering he may have had with anyone, he is a knowledgeable guy who isn't afraid to speak his mind. Hope to see him back on the forums quick. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery.

Huh, from Central Coasters post, he doesn't sound real pleasant.
I guess I haven't seen him post here as the advice I've gotten here has always been polite and professional.

Thanks!!

Jim is from a different place... so to speak.

He doesn't suffer fools and will not hesitate to smack you with your own ignorance.

Trust me, I am not a fan of that aspect of his personality. He is knowledgable, but the delivery lacked any tact.

What is amazing about Jim to me.... is when I was doing my engine rebuild and I had a million stupid questions about cam selection and later on head gaskets and this and that he would PM me with tons of great information where nobody else really gave a rats ass. He was a real help duing that time.

Gruff... yep, but a great guy nonetheless!

Spoke with him a week or two ago, hes certainly a fighter.

hes in good spirits but is still in the recovery phase.
Hes gonna need some good supportive friends by his side.

Hes given much to the forums, time to give a little back to him now imo.

Cant really speak for him, maybe he will pipe in.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE KIND WORDS, EVEN THE LESS THAN KIND, BUT ACCURATE CRITICISMS. I NEVER WAS MUCH OF A TYPIST. MY LIMITED LEFT SIDE MOBILITY DOESN'T HELP. BECAUSE OF THAT, I DON'T POST MUCH, NOW. I APOLOGIZE TO THOSE I HAVE OFFENDED AND AM PLEASED TO HEAR I HAVE BEEN A HELP TO SOME, HELPING HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY MOTIVATION. I AM RECOVERING AND DOING BETTER, I SPENT THE ENTIRE MONTH OF DECEMBER IN THE HOSPITAL. IT IS GREAT TO BE HOME. THANKS TO ALL.

Jim - Great to see you back on line.

Take your time and get your strength back.

You HAVE helped a lot of people on these forums - including me. No question about that... It's sometimes the delivery that needed some love.

Get well. That's all that matters now. Do the PT the drs require, you will be the happier for it.

Before you know it, you will have your mobility back!

God Speed!
