I hope so. After all, f*** 'em if they can't take a joke! I used to think I might like a C5 ZO6. But now I'm going to hold out until C6s drop into my price range.

One car Ive learned not to purposefully fishtail in is a Vette. Once they get some speed theres no telling what its gonna wanna do when it finally hooks up.

Tried a roling burnout last year, hit 3rd gear and that thing changed directions on me and went for the guardrail faster than I could say Oh, chit!

If someone wants a C5, be my guest.

I just don't like the looks, and can't stand it when people want me to sell mine and 'upgrade'. Most of the time I bite my tongue because there's nice people who own them too.

Of course I did like it that time I went bracket racing in SoCal and all the C5's lost in the 1st round

Wow, amazing stuff. The song playing in video 2 is too perfect...seems legit but I wonder if it was added after. That one confused me the most, it didn't seem like he was carrying that much speed.

But as for C5's, laugh all you want about the people who own them, but for road racing they are THE benchmark. I work my ass off in a stripped down C4 with no friggin' carpeting (let alone A/C and a radio) to keep up with the Z06 crowd. I jumped in a mildy modded Z06 for the first time at the track last summer and driving conservatively (it was someone else's car) turned lap times very close to my own.

Speaking of C5's, I saw one of these for sale in AutoWeek, so I searched around and found their website - pretty slick-looking conversion (IMO), but the prices are ridiculous:

Dunno, I guess it seemed like a long drive for a crappy track. Not sure if I had my drag radials yet. But I guess its too late now. I put about 120 runs on them at the 1/8th down here, and went to Famoso once. I wanted to run at Cal Speedway badly, but there's so damn many cars there that I couldnt' even get in when I tried.
