A couple of weeks ago, I got the dreaded hissing sound from the booster. I replaced the check valve and thought that fixed it. We had a couple of weeks of cold weather (for Phoenix) 30 - 40*. Anyway, I've discovered that when it is cold, the booster hisses. In the afternoon when it's warm (65-70*), no hissing and the brakes work great. What would you check?

cuisinatvette Would you put a small window sticker/decal on? Tshirts, mugs, hats, even koy ring fobs would sound good.

CSS996 I was playing last night w/powerpoint and I couldn't get the "C" to strech the way it apears on the forum Logo. Also looking at making a logo specific for each generation 1 thru 6+. Does your outlet do multi-color decals?

My guess is that you already have one of those on your car! You know I have to give you shit, because you were razzing me about taking too long to buy my Vette.

I've worked in tech for a long time. We use the designation "guru" in a very mocking sort of way. In my business if we call someone a guru, we mean the person in question is a know-it-all with a very loose grip on any real, useful information.
If there were a logo that didn't say "guru", I'd put it on my car. I just have an aversion to the guru thing.

I think it should be based on the logo that already exists on the top of the page. The only place I would put one is just behind the B pillar on the rear hatch window. So hopefully it won't be too big to do that.
I also have an outlet for getting decals made if I can be of any assistance. I took an original design by a forum member of an Isuzu site I frequent, and cleaned it up to have this made...

My local ACE hardware has 4'x8' sheets and will cut to size. I had them make me a window for my beater cherokee when someone smashed and grabbed my wife's school bag that looked like a giant purse. It worked so well that I never really looked for replacement glass.

Good Morning Gurus!
Warming up to 52 F in Colorado Springs today. WOOT! I may get word in the next few days about an exciting career change. I would appreciate your prayers or positive thoughts or whatever you're into. Hopefully it is the right choice, if I decide to take the job. Kinda nervous about it, as I already have a good job, and great benefits. I've been doing the same thing for this company for over 11 years now, and I just need a change. The work environment and the pay will be quite an improvement with the new position. We'll see what happens... Have a great day folks! OK, I'm off to read the cornucopia of new posts!

Yep, i apreciate your assistance, however i do know all this!! I used to build and sell computers a few years back, and fixing viruses was a very common thing.
Easy way out is reformating, however its certainly not the best way, Windows XP Pro has a repair feature, and all the Windows will be restored to factory default when this is run, its like installed Windows again, but it retains most of the settings you had before. It has always been good to me, and never let me down. The one thing about the Mac that makes it as much of a paper weight as it is, is the fact the upgradability is very poor to say the least. 9 times out of 10, everything is intergrated, and the case is no where near big enough to fit most PCI cards let alone a PCI-E video card from the current day. I have 5 HDDs inside my computer, down from a previous 7, 4 of these are 10,000rpm Western Digital Raptors in RAID0, which makes for an extremly fast computer. Another thing about it is the fact that you can run Windows for Mac on them, but they are then no more reliable than a regular PC running Windows XP Pro. There is a few things they just cant do as good as a regular PC, and when you look at the price, they cost 3 times as much, for 1/4 of the usability. (dont know about over there, but they are rediculously priced over here compared with the cost for me to build a far more powerful PC) I know there are alot of people that swear by them, but they will never be something ill go for until they are equal to a PC, and i can buy the parts i want and assemble it myself. Im also an AMD man, and probably always will be

Strick, My B&B is at least a second gen B&B. The resonance was cut way down, but the over all loudness was also cut down to the point it is on the same level as the Corsa catback. The only resonance I have is right at 1800rpms in 5th or 6th gear and slight acceleration. I'll let you all know how it works out. My exhaust experience just keeps on growing.

MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It will emulate almost every single arcade game out there, although some of the more complex 3D games it has abit of trouble with. There are other specialist emulators to do these such games.

Casey, Not to get off topic too much, just a quick note.
The new Mac's are all Intel Chips now, so they can run both operating systems. Windows and Mac both loaded on the same machine. My MacBook can run anything you are running. As I said in my very first post on this subject, and rickreeves1 mentioned also is that sometimes the easiest, quickest and least hassle is to just backup your data, reformat the hard drive and re-install the OS.

The 93 is a lot more sensitive, in '95 they went to a different unit with an instant on/off. The 93 you have to wait to regain control before you can switch it off(such as tirespin).
I leave mine on in bith cars unless I'm at the track. Too many things to go wrong out there, especially in NJ. Even with my skills, I'm glad to have it. I've seen too many people who thought they were better than they were and crash their cars doing a simple burnout.

dr evil that would be of great help. As the old adage goes: a picture is worth a 1000 words! My e-mail is: fcandrews@charter.net and thanks in advance. ps would you know the part# of the vacuum switch? Thanks.
Since I posted last I went to Advanced Auto and bought 2 of the vacuum switches. The one on the vette was most likely the original one. It had a cracked nipple (Big one connected to the intake), so I replaced with a new one and the controls still only blow on the windshield and floor, NO DASH! So, would the next step be to remove the HVAC control unit and do the contact cleaning routine? If so this is where I need some experienced assistance in how to remove the control unit and how to dismantle the unit to clean the contacts. Is there any help out there?

What do you guys use for Al cleaning? I'm mostly interested into cleaning
Al cylinder heads. I usually use some sort of degreaser but it allways takes 2-3 times to get everything clean and even then it's not the way I'd like it to be.

The last sentence has me a little confused, if the custom hub fits the existing bearing why won't the tapered bearing JR. Rifle Coach found work, or is Summers supplying a bearing for the new hub?

Is this where I am not supposed to say anything about being a Mac fanboy? You can say it, but then when you consider running something that a Crapple cant run, we will see who gets the last laugh!! Quote: Yeah, using a MacBook Pro here without those issues. No frustration really, just an annoyance. It has done no harm to the computer whatso ever, its just been a barstard to get rid of it!! Quote: Sometimes you can run every virus scan and spyware checker you can think of and these things still won't go away. Search the internet for a way to manualy remove it. Symantec's website may have something. Last week I was sucessfull in removing several virus's and some spyware from a family members computer. After wasting a couple hours with the scanners I was able to remove it manually. I had to stop a few files from running at startup, delete a few files on a restart, and run through the registry searching for and deleting several entries. Unfortunately sometimes the easiest and quickest way to permanently rid yourself of a virus or spyware is to format and reload the system. I could have reloaded everything in the same amount of time or less that it took me to fix it. If you have older software you would like to keep without backups than thats a different story. You may want to consider purchasing a new drive to load fresh and keep the other as a dual boot option. I manually remove most things i dont want yeah. More often than not, its the only way to remove a virus.
