Howdy Folks..
Happy Friday Eve!

I've had this one memorized for years...

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not, unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not, the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent"

I hate the 'buzz words' you have to listen too at all the meetings..over and over...
to name a few..

Action plan
At the end of the day
action items
all-hands meeting
alpha office
Face time
Going forward
Seamless
Skill sets
Touch base
take that off-line
talking points
turn-key
think outside the box
vision statement
value-added
whiteboard (when used as a verb)
win-win
world class
low hanging fruit
Synergistic

Happy Friday Folks!

Hope those winds die down and they get the fires out Bill!

Helluva week around here-
Wife had to have surgery last Friday-Outpatient-Everything went as planned and all is well, but she has a hard time adjusting after being put under (severe nausea, etc..)
We knew this was coming and hopefully she'll feel a lot better from here on out!

Wife also had 2 deaths in the family in the past week--- Cousin (33 years old-died of lung cancer) and an Aunt who has been sick for a while..
Got notice on Tuesday that another of her cousins is in the hospital with heart related issues...

Not exactly the start I was hoping for for 2012, but it is what it is. Just gotta keep the Faith and keep on keeping on..

Y'all have a good day!

Howdy and Merry Christmas!

Just got back from the 4'th trip to the store today...to get those last minute or forgotten items...
Rushed right in and cracked open a cold one...NOW I can't get sent back to the store!! What's a little more coal on the pile anyway!

We're having Crawfish etouffee and Crawfish pie tomorrow--sorta tradition around here for us!

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Unfukin beliveable.
I was workin' on a farm at 13.

I'm so sick of the government stickin' their nose in everything,

Me too....Marcus, I heard something the other day about the Govt wanting to require safety courses before a minor could operate any type of farm equipment for $$, and they were even talking about freaking lawnmowers--

I spent many summers as a kid driving tractors, etc..(My family didn't own a farm, but I grew up in farm country in La) Perfect summer job..
Guess last time I drove a tractor was back in 1998-2000, when we moved back to La. Worked with my FIL (RIP) on his farm driving everything from an old worn out MF to a 96JD9600 combine...and then drove the 18wheelers to the elevator..Wish I could have made a living working the farm.

First, the leadership at Corvette-Guru (CEO's) offer members knowlege ($$$) and insite ($$$$) of the Corvette that is beyond what any member of any other automotive forum (normal citizen) would ever need.

All the Corvette-Guru members (Fat Cats) get smarter (richer) on Corettes while the members of other automotive boards (regular people) out there can't even spell Corvette... let alone own one.

This has led to a knowlege (financial) crisis on other automotive boards which could lead to a total collapse of internetz provided sage automotive advice ($$$) if allowed to continue unchecked.

There needs to be more Govt regulation (Dodd/Frank) of Corvette-Guru to ensure that sage automotive releated advice ($$$) gets equally distributed amoung the other automotive forums.

I don't think it's oil pumped from our wells, and it's not crude oil we're exporting but americans are burning less gas, there's ample refinery capacity so to avoid driving prices down here they're exporting some of the excess.
Talk about manipulation.
